  • Old public relations film produced by Willys-Overland to help sell the new CJ-2A to the public. Lots of great vintage footage for any jeep lover! www.This-Old-Jeep.com

Interesting to see that Jeep was being sold for its ability to do PTO work. The Land Rover (which, of course, was publicly introduced in April 1948), was trumpeted as a farmer's vehicle. Rover Company Ltd., pushed Land Rover vehicles for PTO work. Now I know where they got that idea! Way to go, Jeep!

I am a huge Jeep, especially the orginal ones because they can do so much and also cause they can take a beating.

Thank you! It has been my pleasure to receive comments like this. We owe so much to men and women like yourself and it pleases me to be able to give 'something' back. The jeep was just one great example of what we were able to give to the men of our armed services and what we received in return. Thank you again.

I never paid that much attention, but my 72 CJ5 had the same drawbar as my 47 CJ2

@TheJeepguycj5 AMC produced the last "JEEP" they've not been the same since, back when it was simple and user serviceable, today's is a yuppie mall crawler! Today's couldn't pass the military requirement Willys was required, not one could be field repaired without a certified mechanic and a truck loaded with tools and scan tools, and most time would require hours to research the problems, junk IMHO
