Just ordered ... Can't wait to hang it in my garage!!!
Ordered, this is going to look awesome on the wall :)
I just ordered one. I have loved the cannonball run movies since I was a kid, and have been following all the vinwiki videos and stories, so I'm honored to have a symbolic piece of history!!
Can you ship to the UK
I know it has to hurt Ed to see the record go but to watch him give advice and cheerlead while someone else makes the run speaks volumes to his character. Much respect Ed. Congrats Doug and Arne!
Well, I'm pretty sure he's consoled by the fact that it's Doug and Arne (two of his friends) who did it and not some D-bags.
@@jackielinde7568 likr Richard rawlings
From what I've heard Ed say about it over the last couple of years, my understanding was that he was actually HOPING that someone would break it and that it was indeed possible based on some of the things that didn't go right when he did it.
Wheelman 94 perfectly stated.
I wouldn't be so mad about if it was also a merc
OK seriously... please have the guy on the show who talked his way out of a 130mph ticket in a ferrari because his car was "acting up" haha
That’s what I wanna know. I could really use that wisdom
Just cleaning the carbon buildup from these damn direct injection systems, officer. Sorry.
The ol Italian tune up routine works everytime when you drive Italian! Duh!
Joe Carnes Italian cars demand Italian tune ups
Bailey Walton appears to be his name...his comment is in here claiming that he wont do 130mph until he's spotting. :)
he has 648 likes for his comment as of right now.
"Yes officer, my Ferrari read 55 when I was going 130"
anonymous yo get a speedometer bum
“I texted my wife, I texted Ed” mans got his priorities straight
RJSanti happened to read this AS it was coming out of his mouth, perfect 😂👌🏽
Congratulations guys. An unfathomable time for an exceptionally capable team. Well done.
Never say never Ed
Do you think you'll try to break the new record?
Guess we gotta break the record Ed 2020 cannonball run is ours
Hey Ed.. did you see that story about Cincinnati Reds All-Star pitcher Trevor Bauer"s McLaren getting hit by a runaway semi tire?
@Noah Moody yeah, I feel like you're right. Would still be awesome if this pushes him to do it again!
Bummed our record was broken - I figured it was possible. Happy it was Arne and Doug - two of my favorite guys. Now pour me another drink.
Dave Black why was almost everyone who did this named Dave ????
@@vancityboost8075 Dave is an unremarkable name, so to be remembered you must do something remarkable.
"At no point did we exceed 175 mph. That was his definition of taking it easy."
Awesome.
And the gps says 193 mph top speed.

@@ttbalog of course, right? Lol
The shoe toss and “good neighborhood” comment from Doug was a pleasant little Mr. Rogers easter egg!
Was wondering if others caught that. Made me smile!
Congrats Doug and Arne; I love the “De-badged Silver Passenger Car” cammo...
Truly brilliant!!!
We disappear speeding through Vegas in ours
It does look like our 2011 Accord. Silver color and all
How to beat this time: pay off the cops in every state
Qwalay cops are expensive nowadays
Part of the challenge is evading police.
Hi Qwalay
@@itschuchundra joanah 😏
Big vat of batter next to the fuel tank, pop fresh donuts out the tailgate.
I love how a E63 is the perfect car for this. Its fast enough, and its a wolf in sheep's clothing. And providing its stock, it doesn't make "that much" noise
Why do you think bank robbers use e63 wagon and rs6. Lowkey, fast, spacious.
this one was not close to stock. Turned "down" to 700 hp.
It's to fast they had to mellow it down. So yeah just saying.
That camo was spot on. When they showed the photo of the rear end I looked at it and passed it off for an Accord coupe just like he said until I realized that the other car was an ACTUAL Accord LOL
I was glad to have helped! Next time I won’t go 130 until I’m spotting😂
Bailey Walton So cool that you were a part of this. This is a story you can tell for the rest of your life.
Legend
Not all heroes wear capes
What an absolute lad! That's what I call being a part of history.
People like you restore faith in humanity and don't even know it.
Who wants to see Ed breaking the record again? 😂
If you don't think he's got a plan laid out...
Let's hope he adds Rabbit to the team. The stories from those two would be epic.
I think he has too much to lose now. Family, house, cars, etc. I doubt he'll make another attempt.
I would bet he’s working on it already.
@@thomasmagda4580 He said in an earlier vid he doesn't intend to chase the record. Of course that could be a distraction.
I'm tempted to see what cops think about this video lol
I'd like to see someone beating this without stopping for fuel. Imagine refueling at 60mph from another vehicle.
Fucking terrifying, but might be the only way to shave off enough time to realistically break it
@@Director_Orson_Krennic Diesel. I know it sucks to get one is the US but a vacation license for an E400d, M550d or S6 would do the job
When does that leave time to poop?
@@petebusch9069 you cleanse a few days before. No poop, only drive.
I think that would be too hard to pull off realistically, but dedicated pit stops with crews, NASCAR-style quick fuel cans, etc and away from gas stations for a quicker off-on turn with less traffic is the next logical step. Doing this without a spotter plane was crazy.
It's super fitting that the video breaking detailed news of a history-making new cannonball record is also one of the most enjoyable VINwiki films you've ever published.
Congratulations on a near perfect run, and on some damn fine storytelling - all the core ingredients that have made this channel great are here in absolute spades. Well done.
Mercedes Benz should maybe become the official car of cannonball

Absolute LEGENDS! Brock, Ed, Arne, Doug, Berkeley, and the rest of the legends are first of all bonkers, but should have the respect of the automotive world for not only pulling off such a feat, but for doing it safely. Considering what it takes to pull this of, it's mind blowing to think there haven't been any accidents, but it speaks to the care, planning & driving abilities of these guys. It'll be interesting to see what happens from here.
How long til Elon builds a tunnel from Red Ball Garage to Portofino Hotel? :P
P.S. I just snagged the last sign, whew!
What? They drive on public roads at over 100 mph, and you applaud them for being SAFE?
The world has gone mad.
Very well said 1320Video
siler7 you must be fun
siler7 Safe, relatively speaking.
There’s a difference between:
going 100MPH like an idiot
or making sure that no one else gets hurt before going 100MPH like an idiot
At first i didnt have any respect for this and what they did but after watching this im blown away
Or just release the 27 hr dashcam footage; I’d watch that
Simon Gratkowski illegal, they can talk about doing it but if you have a video of passing a street sign when doing 15 over. That’s why you see all the Mexico videos.
@@bbdl7042 what about then editing out all the signage? i'd watch that...
not sure if some freeway cams have 24hr loops that can me rewound, but would have been neat to have pulled some of that footage. the escorts must have recorded too. hopefully more footage will surface. A nice 20-60 minute vid with highlights would be cool.
how do you prove that you broke the record? I may have missed that from the video
Kilak Receipts, Tickets, eyewitnesses, tracking data, etc.

Rob Pitts I want to hear that show!
Awesome run guys y’all killed it
Berkeley Chadwick has to be the most hipster name ever
he is very hipster in real life
My question is: Did anyone try to keep up with - or try to race you - not knowing what you guys were doing?
CeeStyleDj that’s my question too
If i wouldve seen em.. It wouldve been a fun time😂😂😂😂
I would. Always follow someone when you’re speeding, that way you dont get fucked by police.
Blanco Well, you might get even more fucked because street racing.
One time probably over 15 years ago I ran across some cars going through Utah and the six of us average speed 110 miles an hour throughout the state. Switched leaders every few miles. None of us knew each other just random fast cars and good drivers. 😎😎😎
The blue lives matter shirts while doing the race is genius
withaspoon94 super clever!
I don’t know if from all the clever things that they thought of, that it was “genius”, but it wasn’t stupid, especially nowadays !
withaspoon94 cops hate people that wear that shit.
I particularly liked all the F.O.P. and police charity stickers on the back.
@@gasfiltered I can¡t see neither the shirts nor the stickers, wtf.
So 700hp, a 66 gallon gas tank and 20 spotters. Thats all you need.
Waiting for someone to do it with a 300 gallon tank with no stops :P
@@rkan2 ya that wont look suspicious going down the road. 😂
@@luinhaden Why would it? With air suspension and proper placement in car, it would only look a bit different when going over bumps.
You almost need a couple wraps on a car that can be removed at fuel stops. Change the whole color once you get hot. A bunch of years ago I have seen videos a guy that did this on a sport bike with painters tape. He peeled it off and the heat was off.
@@JAMESWUERTELE There's no fast way to unwrap an entire car. If there was, doing 175mph would tear it up.
"Ohio was amazing" - the only time this phrase has been spoken.

Good couple of guys to beat and hold the record.
What a classy video, all the “Brotherhood of lunatics” handing over the crown. Very cool and very special. I’m kinda surprised to see it so soon, I had assumed it would be months till the official notification but I’m happy to see it for sure !!
Just goes to show a bunch of like minded lunatics who embrace another. Just the way car guys n gals should be.
Next record should be tried by that nasa chic that wore a diaper to drive lomg periods.
I'm sure you say the same thing about gangs. 'those MS13 guys, what a good brotherhood'
In a lot of European countries that video would be incriminating evidence for a felony charge
It's beyond the statute of limitations in the US
Just a video they made. Could all be made up . No proof at all.
@@omgitsjakenjames Was this done more than 5 years ago? That's the statute of limitations for most crimes.
Not in Europe no, i checked first my country (France) i already knew it was (very) limited as proof (article 427).
And all others countries in Europe are subject to "Article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights and on the preliminary article of the Code of Criminal Procedure". The use of evidence is possible (with a certain scope) for parties but not for public authorities.
@@josephmercel1146 yeah in France you're good as long as you're not filming the road and the speed meter
But it's definitely possible to get arrested because of a video
This is a massive feat that should be commended for the amount of work it took; not only to achieve, but to keep drivers as well as the motoring public risk to a minimum. Well done men, this is what America is all about.
The 35 dislikes are the people that got bike flashed.
And the person that a "silver passenger car" sped passed
Tyler Breedwell what is bike flashed ? like mirror adjustment?
@Perry Elyod Yea its extremely frustrating, I've been in the car with people multiple times doing it and they get pissed off because of someone on their ass.

Lol at Doug's little blue line patch. Might as well wear a sign that says
'Please don't arrest me'
I knew that E Class was something special!
Honestly I couldn’t think of a better car to do this!
Perhaps a Charger SRT? Shouldn't a cop car be the most inconspicuous?
twist2410 The charger is too loud, not as fuel efficient, and doesn’t handle as well as the e63.
@@papaannefranku9693 It's easy to think. Those who are experienced and actually know what to do did end up choosing the best car to do this. :)
@@adamstanton1025 Nope. The E63 has worse gas mileage, is just as loud and handling wouldn't be an issue on the freeway. The E63 was picked because of the hydraulic suspension which can adjust itself to carry 800lbs of fuel.
Congratulations to all involved. This is a truly special moment in car history, I think.
This is one of my favorite VINwiki stories. Great job putting this together.
Congrats to Arne and Doug! You guys, along with the entire VINwiki storytelling crew all inspire me to never stop being a car enthusiast. You guys rock!
Hey Ed, just wanted to say that your channel is amazing. I think an unintended consequence of this repository for automotive insanity you’ve created is that it’s bringing the car community together through these stories. It’s the type of things we used to hear from our parents/mentors in the car community, and creating a platform to share those stories enriches and deepens the automotive culture that we all share. I just wanted to say thank you, as much of a kiss up as this is.
1:09 seemed like he wanted to say something
Lol
Congrats!! I love how you guys managed to make the E63 look like a "regular car". A better "sleeper" has never existed.

So much more to tell!
This video warms my heart so much! I really love the camaraderie between all the other cannonballers.
R63 AMG with a massive fuel cell would allow to get down to prob 3 fill ups (for the sake of stretching/pooping) as well as even less conspicuous since its a freaking minivan....w/ 500 hp
If anyone was going to beat Ed's record, glad it was these 2!
Congratulations on that drive. That's insane. After a long day, seeing a vinwiki video like this makes me want to work harder.
Did he say “Plane crash avoidance system” when talking about the counter measures?
Yes. It tells them if an aircraft is nearby, which police can use to chase superspeeders.
It's called TCAS. Traffic Collision Avoidance System. At least I hope they were using TCAS and not ADS-B (Automated Dependent Surveillance Broadcast) At this point, ADS-B is voluntary and I promise LEOs are not opting in until they have to because cannonballers are the very least dangerous people you don't want knowing about your surveillance.
@@gasfiltered wrong. It's actually a PCAS. Portable collision avoidance system. Lol
gasfiltered note on that one: next year it will be much easier, since from 2020 on every plane needs to have an ADS-B Transponder on Bord
