People often forget that cards need to have targets still in certain areas in order to work
a good recent example of this type of interaction is transaction rollback. if it’s target isn’t in the graveyard when rollback resolves (due to dd crow, mudora, etc) then its effect isn’t applied at resolution

Opponent was playing Crooked Cook Exodia and i was on Mathmech. I had Final Sigma on emz and both set Superfactorial and Imperm.
During their MP1 for some reason they used DRNM. Because of this, technically there were two cards on opponent's field (which made Crooked Cook affected by card effect). I chained Imperm to DRNM, negating CC. And after DRNM resolves, i used Superfactorial to summon Laplacian, sending Cook and ripping one of Exodia pieces to gy.
One time I chained Huaquero to dodge called btg, Epic. Opponent rage quitted 😂
As an Eldlich player, I'll keep this in mind.

Kagari needs an SS monster with a different Attr., Kagari is fire and couldn't spec. sum. with a fire SS monster@@HardcoreGame
That also means VFD (if it ever gets unbanned even with errata) would also hard counter Sky Striker because they change the attributes all the opponents monsters

The coolest outplay i ever seen was in mermail format , guy summons undine search controller, allure of darkness, opponent chains mind crush call controller. Entire locals went crazy

Playing runick generaider rn, had baron and jormungandr on board. Opponent has nib, baron negate, imperm on the baron, jormungandr effect draw 1 attach barron. Lost baron but kept the rest of the board
With laev on field activate maxx c and then if they cbtg it chain laev and add it as material to jogurtmuncher. Classic.

I love when people try to called by and effect that banishes itself for cost 😂 did it twice in one MD duel with Wandering king’s effect and banishing vision resonator with a bystial on a higher CL to make sure its search went through

Hi-Speedroid Hagoita has come in clutch a few times against some synchro and xyz heavy decks. Since it can tribute itself to increase the levels of all monsters on the field by 1, it has the potential to really hurt an opponent's combos, like chaining it to the token summoning effect of the swordsouls for example.
Master duel needs to get rid of missed timing effects it’s so annoying
During the battle phase, I was new to the game playing a kuriboh deck, I was up against dragon maids and on a chain link 6, after they activated two shioh and a trap, I activated mirror force blowing up all their maids. I won that match.
Classic. Respect for playing a fun deck.
In MD I stopped branded fusion by using Tellarknight Ptolemaus to rank up into Tellarknight Constellar Diamond, which prevents sending cards from deck to GY and GY recovery alongside negating dark monster effects.
Against a flipped up skill drain in the founder matchup, making the lyrilusc rank 1 that spins spells and traps, paying cost for the effect (you can still pay cost under SD), then accenting the card away so it resolves in a new location away from Skill Drain and shuffling it away.

Everybody can play with high powered decks but only true duelists know how to improvise with effects to stay in the game
I used Icejade Gymir Aegirine to stop the effect of I:P Masquerena.

I've done this play with Chengying in MD. Maxx when they control at least 1 card, they called, chain Blackout destroying called by, chengying and their last card. Chengying protects itself by banishing Maxx in gy.
Skill drain only negating cards on the field is a big one. In infernoids u can summon devyaty and activate its heavy storm effect then chain another infernoid to tribute the devyaty and banish something from ur opps GY. The banish gets negated but since devyaty isn’t on ur field anymore the effect resolves without being negated. I think this also works with using book of moon

Playing rescue-ace I've used alert to dodge called by many times and it's really satisfying
Set Glow up blub e con it to take control of a slifer glow up effect to mill sychro into star eater milled into a light summoning Collapse serpent. And banished a dark for white dragon xyz exciton knight activate destroy two obolisk
Same with Sanctifier, you can dodge negate by summoning the hand trap
I always use Bystials to move targets from grave in certain instances, it's saved me from albaz, tear laments and called by the grave on a few occasions 👍🏼
Mine was a PK match against Monarch. I special summoned two copies of Gilasaurus and used them to tribute summon Nibiru so I could beat over their Majesty's Fiend.
Getting to go through with Eglen by using either Advent of Adventure or Swallow Cowrie.
To put it into context I’m a kozmo player so I had tin can on the field and they wanted to negate it so I dogged an infinite inperm by just using its banish effect to go into a level 5 to go into a cyber dragon infinity
Opponent nibbed, I activated super poly and went into independent nighttlingale. Since it was the only card on the Field and didn’t leave nib stayed in hand
I remember chaining Branded in Red to save Aluber from Imperm. Really basic in the grand scheme of things, but I still felt like a badass.
I had a 24 card chain all to stop the normal summon of stratos
I've never seen a chain link that high honestly like 12 or maybe 15 at most idk it would have to involve a full graveyard that's for sure

In cyber drangon i used to dodge effects with fusion spell cards then re summon the fusion and bounced it again if it was selected

I can imagine 10 years from now when Ash Blossom will be banned and YGO Tubers will be making 1 million plus hours of content as to why it was banned, like they currently do with Pot of Greed.
Like they'll allow Ash to be banned when the damn card is being worked around by Konami nowadays so that it doens't kill off new archtypes and decks like Rescue-Ace, Snake-Eyes and Tenpai
