Many people still consider Việt Nam as a third world country or being poor after the War from 1975. However, that is the story from 40-50 years ago, nowadays, the business is doing pretty well. The service’s quality and provided service are in aligned.
Unlike many “developed” countries, i have spent few thousands and end up, i got a feeling of being riffed off.
Ywah tbh Vietnam the disparity of bottom, and middle and top earning class is huge. This is what essentially defines first, and second, third world cou tries. By definition Vietnam is a third world nation but no doubt there are plenty of rich people.. When you have people that need to work 1 to 2 hours just to eat while you have people so rich they can smoke a 100usd stick of tobacco... That is the definition of third world. However Vietnam has developed hugely in the last decade from my first visit... Many industries such as Samsung and multinational companies are building there. But if your politicians make up vast majority of the richest people in the nation not entrepreneurs and people who set up businesses... Then there is a problem. But this is the best la casa del Habano I have ever seen in terms of size, and over all vibe

there is something to be said about smaller lounges like the mandarin oriental one, just quaint and comfy but another with huge ones like this, pros and cons.
but this lounge is insane, so many levels

Ive been to 10 LCDH's and I missed the one in ho chi minh city when I was there??? That is my biggest regret in life lol By any chance did this open within the last 4 years?

Never seen such a luxurious display of cuban cigars. Even surprising that it located in Vietnam. Wonder if they do good business
it was busy that night, all levels were.
but that was a weekend, during the day i dont think they get busy. Cocktails and drinks are expensive, cigars are global pricing so i think they would. no other lounge around really.

Diageo needs to do better - some are so over priced it is silly but i think they are going for extreme elitism and aspirational marketing so ok i get that
but its a great set up, multiple levels for different vibes.
Someone recently said that 'they found a fake cuban' but this is a lacasa del habano establishment so i doubt it, the dude was probably wanting to feel special 'they can spot a fake'
