That teaser, and I am not kidding, brought a tear to my eye. I was always wanting to play realistic medieval game with AAA production values and full RPG treatment.
And to get one, and SET IN MY HOME COUNTRY at that, is just...eyewatering.
Also, I appreciate Dan embracing his fullblown troll personality with that T-Shirt. Just hilarious.

As an archaeologist and gamer, I am so delighted at what they are doing with the in-game art. They are not only re-creating cultural paintings - they are also taking trying to reverse their degredations !
By going a little forward with their game designs, those guys are able to transcend a video game into an educational and cultural tool.
Hopefully this will become a more general trend where game developpers and academics work hand in hand to create those universes that benefit from both worlds.
Agreed. Medieval Europe is a cultural treasure and these guys are milking it. I just know it´s going to be awesome. :)

Absolutley agree, this should be considered a scholarly work as much as a game. I am so glad that they're not only setting it in a historical region and in hte context of historical events, but they are avoiding the pittfalls that most games set in the middle ages, or in medival worlds fall in, which is among other things to make the buildings look like they are already in a ruined state. As an example, I love Mount and Blade, but almost all the great halls in the game have an interrior with a rough stone floor of cracked slabs, walls of rough and weathered stones, cracked columns etc. In contrast this game has castle interriors and churches with plastered and painted walls. This should be the image people have of the middle ages, not an image of people living in already ruined buldings.
Oh goodness, that music is stunningly good at the end.

I guess now we know what it must have left like to be a conscripted peasant who has to have an armoured knight who pretty much learned how to fight since he was 14.

I love the look of this game. The paintings are a great addition. as a lover of European history, art and architecture, I see a lot of potential in the level of accuracy you can achieve. good luck guys this game is something of a dream!
The teaser at the end is amazing. I love that song. Really wish I would’ve known about this game back when they were doing the alpha, and back when they were on kick starter. I would’ve totally donated to them.
The teaser was subtle, so was the music, they matched to each other very nicely. Also Victor shooting that AI made me laugh :)

Video and music at the end is fantastic! Really looking forward to play this game, and hopefully just sit and watch the sunset and stuff. A few games have managed to capture this feeling - and the music is very important - it should be calm and nice.

The music accompanying the last video segment is great. The overall game looks absolutely fantastic. I love how humble and genuinly excited the staff always is. I don't know if it's just me, but 2m $ seems so small a budget compared to what big compagnies have to work with, yet still all of this is accomplished and the game looks stunning. Keep up the good work and don't release it before it's absolutely finished. An ambitious game like this is worth waiting for. Cheers.

Vlastní sochá v herním světě, pro nejštědřejšího dárce. Hodně dobrý nápad.
Taky už jsem přispěl, protože tohle je něco úžasného a má to smysl. Call of Duty je ta samá střílečka, akorát je každý rok trochu pozměněná grafika. Problém je, že reálnou hru nikdo vydávat nechce, protože když tam něco nebude reálného, tak to studio slízne na recenzích. Když máte hru jako Call of Duty, tak nikomu nevadí, že na sobě máte výzbroj, která váží přes 50 kg a běháte tam, jako kdyby jste na sobě nic neměli, proto veliký potlesk autorům hry za odvahu. Jen tak dál!!!
That video right at the end is just breathtaking, the rooster right at the start looked so lifelike, well done Dan and the Warhorse studio !!! I have faith in you, I didn't actually donated any money to this project yet, but Iam sure I will buy this game once it will be out in mortar shop.
Great teaser, great music: you guys captured the atmosphere of a peaceful medieval village. I would like to live in that village, but I have the distinct feeling that may soon turn into a dangerous place. :P
yea its Czech rebublic in medieval world but you will be the hero what will save that village :D

Docela dost vývojářů paradoxně příliš nehraje hry, nebo minimálně nehrají hry, které vyvíjejí. Pak mohou vznikat podobně úžasné momenty, řešení šípu a zaseklé AI mi připomělo řadu momentů, kdy jsem tak v různých hrách řešil laciné situace, kde mě AI kvůli nějaké blbosti trápila :)

This game is using Photogrammetry? Like in the recent Vanishing of Ethan Carter?
I played that game and loved it, the sheer detail in the textures from objects that were made from Photogrammetry looked simply amazing , one of the best looking pc games I've ever played because of that.

That's why I was wondering, if it isn't just going to be used for faces but also other things, like in the game I mentioned (they used photogrammetry for a lot of things, from the environment to objects in the world).

The teaser reminded me of the first time I played Mafia. The intro video which showed you the beautiful, real, living world to which you merge into i few seconds. Works perfectly on me this time as well. It makes me want to take a walk and just say hi to the shepherd:-) Good job.

We are working on a "hardcore mode", so probably yes! :)
Warhorse Studios That should be an option regardless of "hardcore mode" though. A big bright blob - be it a yellow dot/circle or a crosshair takes a lot out of immersion factor. I mean, people will mod it right away anyway, just make it an option and be done with it. Don't force the always visible hud on people either. ;)

Bohužel, za pana Wericha, teda v pozdním období jeho života byli pc hry jenom zárodečnou spermii a vizi hlídače v Empire Bay :-)

This looks amazing, I just stumbled across this via gamerheadlines, and i must say, I'm very impressed, I've always wanted a medieval free roam type of game on this span, Chivalry and Mount and blade haven't really come close to what I've been after, but from this short video, this look like it fills all my wants!
Definitely going to be keeping my eye on this and i hope the development and production goes smoothly for you guys!

You should check out the other update videos! The one video talks about battle, and they show the guys doing mocap. Its so awesome! These guys train and specialize using the actual weaponry and techniques that they used back in the era.

Sorry but I don't like the music. It's got nothing. The strings are too loud. The first part is chaotic and plain. No rhythm, no percution. Like the flute and the harp though... You need a composer bad!

Well given the footage it was put behind I thought it suited it perfectly. The video in the trailer just showed very pleasant shots and day to day activities of average people in those times, it matched it perfectly.
If you're after something a bit more to it and energetic i'm sure the combat music will satisfy that urge in you.

First of all, I love that t-shirt! Secondly, I think the teaser if great. It perfectly emcompasses the ordinary life of a medieval peasant. I also think that it contrasts nicely with the earlier trailer which focused more on the epicness of medieval combat and siege warfare. I think it could be used nicely as a way to show the different approaches a player can have towards this game. Does he want to play as a glorious warrior or would he rather try to live a peaceful life in a country that is being torn apart by war? Maybe there could also be a third trailer that focuses more on the bard/rogue approach. Trying to take advantage of the whole situation and whatnot. Then maybe parts from all trailers could be taken and put into one to show the different playstyles that are available. I'm just throwing out ideas here.
Also one more thing. I kinda expected an army with torches to show up at the end of the teaser for some reason.
Great teaser with some awesome music. I love how the (by now well known) drum theme fades in at the end.

@Warhorse. Thanks for the video update. I can see the potential you have created in Kingdomcome. You people ought to be very proud of the progress you have made since the inception of this project. I am excited to be able to play in the alpha and am waiting for the email. I personally would not mind if you did not make the deadline you have set for yourself if you are not happy with what you would be releasing. Good things do take time!!

Soo, first things first, I think the music is very fitting for ambience, but I think some proper medieval pieces would add a whole new level of realism to some situations (for example, ambience while travelling, medieval while visiting castles/feasts/staying in a tavern etc.)
Another thing I noticed is that the movement speed of the character seems exeptionally fast, which could kill a whole lot of the mood...I hope you either change it completely or at least let us switch between running and walking (I'm sorry if you already said that I missed it somehow, fucking ignorant as I am :DD)
Everything else looks great, I have very high hopes for this game (as all the other backers) and think it might be a milestone in the RPG scene :)

for all the ppl here saying they didnt improve the game in the last months.. they just show a short update so they can work on the game , there is definitly more to show but they dont have the time to show anything they did like different models animations , that would take ha whole filmcrew so they can work on the game...
