- I visited the Newly open Barcelo Maya Riviera - Adults Only resort on Janaury 1st, 2020 and here is my detailed review of my stay and the resort as a whole.

Hi thank you for your video, my question is did you find that the Riviera had enough green foliage or cover of any sort ....compared to the Palace a lot of the relaxation areas at the Riviera seemed to be very
exposed to the sun ...which kind of goes with the contemporary look ...the beach as well seemed pretty "open" so to speak as compared to the again the Palace ...btw how did you enjoy dinner at the Brazilian restaurant ? thanks:)

Can you tell me if dining at the restaurants is included in the all inclusive package or is it a separate charge?
yes its included, the longer you stay the more rsvp you can make at the ala carte.
Some friends and I are going this summer. Do they have buffet options for dinner at the adults only resort? If so, do you know what time it opens?
no but i seem to recall one of the other hotels in the resort has a 24 hour buffet, don't recall which one though, you have access to all if you book at AO or Palace, But Palace guest don't have access to AO

Hey there! I think it was like a 40 mins drive from the airport.
When we went it was exactly an hour give or take. Usually with traffic you can add 15-30 minutes but that never happened but exactly around an hour each time and that's what the drivers told us it would be. We just got back from the resort.

We stayed at 5735 it’s right by a elevator. Yes u can take alcohol to the beach. Bars are already at the pool. Go across the street from resort and do a cenote !!!!!!
I honestly can’t even remember anymore what floor our room was on. We didn’t do any excursions on this trip, yep, alcohol is available everywhere. We took them from the bar to the beach. ❤️

I just went this month and it was great weather wise towards the end one day before we had to leave we saw seaweed though. Not filling up the whole ocean or beach but plenty to need to walk around and swim around. Weather was great all week and a half we were there.
Question: Did they have umbrellas on the beach? I didn't see any on the video, only palm trees for shade.

We just got back from this resort a couple days ago. We felt the service was subpar- the employees didn’t give us much attention and seemed to only care about yt people more which is so upsetting. The resort was beautiful but I wouldn’t go back because of the service 🤨
I went pre-pandemic so I can’t speak to the service now but I’m sorry to hear about your experience.
