Tyres: Hankook Winter I*CEPT ION X IW01A 285/35 R22 106V with "C" index of rolling resistance (winter tires).
As always, I checked real fuel consumption on a petrol station. I noticed no difference: computer shows exactly THE SAME fuel consumption comparing to what I refueled!
Procedure:
I drive 33 km in both ways on a highway/motorway (16.5 in each direction). Energy consumption/economy in a city is measured in real-life traffic in Warsaw (Poland) in similar conditions: the same amount of heavy traffic, light traffic and quite similar average speed. It is nice result for a such big car, one could says almost excellent until you see the result of the 740d xDrive.

Very good point, but you are confusing the class of the car, which is a BMW limousine, with an SUV

@@johnnyzarizony9276 Yeah, I know, but both are built like a brick and weigh over 2.2 tones (I think Q7 is maybe 30-40 kg heavier).
BMW 740d sits closer to the ground so may have slightly better fuel efficiency because of better aerodynamics, but it also has a bit more powerfull engine.
And even when you take into account all those things, Q7 stil consumes 25-30% more fuel than the 740d, which is not a small number if you cover lots of miles daily.
Like I said - Q7 did a great job, considering it is a 3-row SUV, but that engine in the BMW is fantastic when it comes to efficiency (of course, unless BMW is lying about it, like WV did years ago 😉).

@@johnnyzarizony9276 I am not sure if present BMW 7 is limousine still :) It is in the half way to SUV, much higher than the previous generation
