    I dont know what people expect of Jonas? Like he is a super human with secret powers?
    To get second place and ahead of Remco (who is also super strong this year and one of favourites) is more then we can ever expect of him for this tour after his horrible crash.
    His health cannot be restored after 12 weeks and still he has did these incredible performances in the tour. Even won a stage.
    We can be super proud of him and he is doing the right thing as well to be proud of himself and be optimistic for the future stages.
    Keep fighting Jonas we will cheering and supporting you no matter what !!! 🌸

    As a Pogi fan I think he really needs to grab the chance to win this year's tour and make it a hat trick of wins. Next year this is going to be a lot harder with Jonas normally prepared and probably with a stronger team too.

    • @zerog4261

      Jonas said it was one of his best performances of his life, so the crash wasn't an issue. Whats more of an issue was having a weaker team around him. Also Tadje is definitely better this years and as we know in the past, he bonked a couple of times on the warm days but he said his team kept him cool as best they could with water and he kept better track of his food and drink intake.
      In previous years, when he was isolated, they could not do this.
      He has a stronger team and Jonas has a weaker team this year.
      If Jonas does beat him this year, then he definitely is the no 1 grand tour rider but I don't see it happening

    The tour was probably sentenced today, Jonas did the best he could and it was even more than we all expected so my respects for him fighting so hard to sell the tour victory. On the other hand I think from now on he must run smart and defend the 2nd place, further efforts like today's might crack him at the final stages and make him loose podium. Funny I read it exactly the opposite way. It seemed that he took strength from his family. And that his family comes first. This was Jonas' best chance to turn the GC tide and it must have been hard to watch - after both he and Tadej pulverized the record up that last climb! He's so mentally strong, surrounded by his family. A nice piece of editing in this interview, showing Jonas arriving with his family and leaving quietly with them. All of the GC top 10 should be proud of their place!

Yates also did a sus performance earlier this year. All im gonna say is if they are clean, then hats off they are simply the best and if it continues jonas will not win again. Pogi improved his best climbing with 5% this year. And Yates and almeida did a climb in april that only Jonas was able to do last year.

The past 2 tours there was a bit more yo-yoing going on between Pog and Jonas. It just seems like after losing last year's tour, Pog all of a sudden became invincible. Coming out of the Giro and acting like he has no limits to his energy is definitely questionable. And we know that doping is done to aid in quicker recovery which offsets any potential bad days. Remember when Lance never had bad days or even appeared to struggle in the tour?

    It is estimated that Tadej makes some 450w of average power output in the final climb... Jonas on the other hand don't really have time to get well trained this year. He also seems a bit too light, sub 60kg or something, which is understandable given he crashed not long ago and don't have time to gain some weight back. Anyways, I think the battle of yellow jersey is 90% done and I cannot see Tadej will just suddenly crack because obviously UAE has improved quite a lot to keep him cool and hydrided all the way to the finish and this is what they are going to do in the last week of the tour. Visma needs quite some time to recover and making sure everyone is in their best shape (well, wout isn't and Sepp is not even in the race)

      Its not the same. He has been able to train, its not that it wasnt a bad crash for remco, its that vingegaard punctured his lung had a whole rib cage broken and a collarbone. Remco had "just" a collarbone and a scapular broken. While that is bad for sure, it doesnt impede training in the same way. And doesnt put you in Intensive care unit for weeks like with vingegaard. On top remco was able to go to races after that. He was in dauphine fx. Jonas had to cancel all races up to.

      Guess we will finally have a GIro/Tour winner for the first time since Pantani. He was of course doped to the teeth so its good to have a clean one like Pogi, who drive like a motorbike all year on pure talent and hard work only.

    • @TellusJD
      @TellusJD Před měsícem +3

      thats the problem, pogi did giro and is now showing 5% improvement compared to anything he has done before. Yesterday he outdid all the dopers in the 90 era except 1 in watts pr kg on 30 minute level. Its getting really sus. I have never heard of any other sport where 5% improvement is possible in a year mid career on the top level.
      Pog is clearly stronger and Jonas is not weak, but that is getting really sus, Jonas is actually a level above his last year on some points, which is more logcal in terms of the weight loss, but he is also significantly weaker in the sprint and punch.

    • @Rikasselman
      @Rikasselman Před měsícem

      @@TellusJD Nothing is sus if you ask me though. First off we live in a generation where there are plenty of riders who are levels above the rest in their field, not only, Pogacar, Jonas and Remco, but also MvdP and Van Aert in the classics.
      Can't compare the 90's era to this era because everything in this sport has changed since then, training methods, material, nutrition and so on.
      All of these riders, if not every rider in wealthy team is using everything that is not on the doping list, we can be sure of that.
      But as long as they are not using anything illegal, which imo is close to impossible since they are tested pretty much after every race. I don't see the point of calling it sus. Whether this is a healthy thing to do is another discussion ofc.
