Joel Embiid (19 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists, 4 blocks) added his first career playoff triple-double in the victory, while Jalen Brunson tallied 40 points, 6 assists and 4 3PM for the Knicks in the losing effort. This game shows why “Brunson hero ball” is not a winning formula for a physical 7 game series. He was so gassed in OT: 1 basket, 2 turnovers, 4 missed shots, 0 assists
Change that to 3 baskets made and him single handedly keeping NY in this game..... IN OT. He just got tired after 50 minutes.. Lucky came up with good defense and clutch offense. Next game he gonna whoop our asses with Brunson hero ball

Embiid will get knocked for his awful offensive performance, which is fair. But anybody that tries to claim that he did nothing-especially in this OT period-to help his team win is either lying or didn't pay attention. He assisted on Maxey's three to bring the Sixers within 2, got the offensive rebound off Oubre's missed layup, then made a free throw to cut it to 1. He stole the ball from Brunson, hit the and-1 jumper to put the Sixers up 4, then blocked Brunson's layup 10 seconds later. Granted, there was the flagrant on Brunson, but that ultimately didn't kill them. And he did all of that on a bad knee with Bell's palsy and a migraine.
Nobody's gonna listen Embiid is just gonna keep getting unfairly shit on because that's the popular opinion. Even though his body is legit failing him and he's still going out there and contributing in the playoffs.

Brunson choked the game away. Played hero ball in OT and forgot he had teammates. Embiid played amazing defense in OT. Maxey needs to be drug tested. That is his team now.
Too many misoppotrunities for Brunson to closeout the game
Maxey was just unstoppable. There's nothing a team can do when a player is hitting everything and they are casually pulling up from the logo with 9 seconds left down by 3. The Knicks best chance of winning Game 6 is for both Embiid and Maxey to not have a stellar performance liek they both have had in this series. Literally the only two games they won were because of them going off like crazy. The Knicks were able to win with Maxey and Embiid both scoring a lot in the first two games.
Maxey is a stud and the Sixers need to really fix their team this offseason. They can finally offload that terrible Tobias Harris contract and sign someone who is actually worth $180 million. I hate the Sixers and their fans, but I gotta tip my hat to Maxey as he gives 100% all the time and is just a very likable person. Unlike Embiid, who never has made it past the second round, plays dirty, and cried to win MVP last year and had Kendrick Perkins accusing people to be racist if they didn't vote him to be MVP.
I know Philly fans love Embiid, but that's the cold hard truth. He's an injury prone, playoff choker who commits dirty fouls from-time-to-time. I know there will be Philly fans telling me how I am so wrong about their glorious king Embiid, but all you fans know he barely cracks the top 5 for the all-time best 76ers players, maybe not even 5. He's a great player no doubt, but until he at least makes the Finals, then he won't get the respect from me or any other fan outside Philly that these other players like Jokic get.
For some reason Philly fans are too delusional to see that Jokic is just better. Embiid is better at defense and getting free throws, that's it. Half of his points come from the charity stripe. Don't make up some bull about how other players shoot just as many free throws, maybe Giannis, but that's it. I also believe he is overrated too, but I'm not gonna get into that.
