Second half was manic. My bar here in SW France was in a state of permanent explosion. After the disappointment of yesterday perhaps not surprising, it was like a damn broke. But it was totally justified, Toulouse were outstanding. And the biggest cheer was for the return of Ramos, now what does Ugo do? Second biggest cheer. Jack Willis, man of the match. He was immense.

Really feel for Exeter as the 2nd half was a massive beat down. However that Toulouse team are just insane with Worldies 1-15 (and some on the bench) and the Devon boys should be very proud of what they’ve achieved. Hope it doesn’t effect the rest of their season.

I mean you can’t really blame the French tv, when during the World Cup, for the first time it wasn’t the host nation that had the control over the tv images, we saw what happens in the quarter finals.
And in fact, during the game, it’s the TMO who showed several time the same actions, which did include a high tackle (but I guess it’s not that important to protect players…)

Ain't it boring how tim manages to make it as if Toulouse had no grounds being frustrated with the refering and it's just a problem of "french tv director". It was not and this happens in every country, only à french tv director was candid enough to admit it in an itw. In Ireland during the 6 nations last year the footage of James lowe scoring à try with his whole left leg in touch disappeared, in scotland when haouas got his famous and deserved red card, images of three punches on retaliation disappeared while haouas's was played on a loop, and that's just 2 obvious exemples from the top of my head. Today exeter got away with an awfull lot (high tackles, shoulder to the head, deliberate knock ons, neck rolls and even eye gouging on arnold). Then Toulouse was penalised at scrum time despite being utterly dominant. Luckily there was no sévère injury and the difference between the 2 teams was too big for à ref to level but the double standards (anything goes for exeter, extremely pedantic with toulouse) was really showing

I watch British and South-Africans broadcasts too, and TV directors are no better. And you know what? I think it's just fine. It's part of the home advantage. So, it's just a stereotype, just like we don't always wear a beret and carry a baguette when we get out of the house. But that you know, you spent a great deal of time in France last summer... 😉🤗

@@coatknightcompletely unfair, it's just that 1 french tv director was honest enough to say in an itw that he wasn't to keen on looking for caméra angles that wouldn't help our national team And he might have said that half jokingly but i was all taken as an admission of guilt and now people are pretending that France is the team that cheats. Remember how much "home avantage " France enjoyed in the WC? How neither the possible deliberate knock on by big even nor the kolbe charge nor the psdt headbutting danty again were checked. Come on. SA did win a very dodgy home WC back in the days and the AB did also at home ( Joubert later apologised) but France, no way. You may think those calls were right or 50/50 but they sure didn't go France's way. If France rigged games there would be a few more trophies to show. So the lecturing and the stéréotype is really useless and shows à whole lot of respect for french rugby.

@@coatknight The foul on Dupont is shown to the referee on screen and he does not take care of it.
The forward is shown on the screen and the referee does not take care of it. On the other hand, for the yellow card, he did not need to view it on the screen even though it followed the forward.

I really enjoyed that first half. And then I missed the first 10 mins of the second half so when I tuned in again, I couldn't believe the score. Exeter were right in touch in that first half and deservedly so. Typical French crowd, no respect, no class, booing the officials, booing their own team. And then the TV broadcaster being completely subjective with what clips they were showing on the big-screen. Can't wait for Leinster to stuff Toulouse again if they meet in the final. Jack Willis was exceptional, some of the English lads playing in Europe are playing great Rugby. Not sure I agree with that rule, I think that they should be allowed to earn a living where-ever they want and still be allowed to play for their native country Internationally. This is obviously a very good Toulouse side, ROG seems to fancy them based on this post-match interview but I think its more likely sour grapes from ROG because it was Leinster that spanked them last night. It looks like a Toulouse v. Leinster final and it would make from a great final but Quins and the Saints might have a thing to say about that. English Rugby has turned a corner I think, the Jones nightmare is slowly but surely being forgot. Two teams in the last four, Imagine if they both got to the final. That would be some upset. I'm stunned how biased you are, UK's TV are doing the same shit all the time, and you assume that it's a french thing, are you serious ?
And that ref was a bloody jock, instead of sin bin Mauvaka, he should had go for the Exeter hand's mistake in the ruck, then no penalty against Toulouse, and not try for Exeter to follow.
Player safety ? Not yellow for the player who cleared Dupont with his shoulder on Dupont's head ? Come on man, get your shit together.
    Anyway...

I hope it's an ironic comment because the Exeter knock on (that the ref refused to check) prior to the Mauvaka yellow card is scandalistic. The ref was below zero today but TMO was even worse 'cause it gave him no call when he was supposed to (intentional Exeter knock on on a Toulouse attack for example and so on and so on...)

We all agree Chiefs put it to Stade in the first half, and good for them. But, whilst all referees are human and will make mistakes, the crowd were going bonkers in the first half because head shots and deliberate knock ons were going unsanctioned let alone a rather one-eyed approach to break down time. Quins Toulouse could be a match for the ages and Toulouse will have to at their best to win.
