      Scotty my coworker had his 2013 Mazda3 1.3l Skyactiv automatic transmission panel bottom rust out while driving around work. Limped in a few miles, local mechanic put a new bottom on.
      A month or so later the bottom of his oil pan also rusted out (mechanic warned him that would be next). Once again a few miles with no oil, and a ton of spilled when he filled it up in the parking lot only for it to come right out the hole.
      So far it has been about a month or so and he does 80 miles or so a day mostly highway. The car is still going strong.

      +Scotty Kilmer think you can test a 2010+ Jaguar XJ, XJL, XF or XFR with an NA 5.0 V8 or supercharged 5.0L? I’ve heard these vehicles have turned them around as far as reliability and can be had decent for relatively cheap. They have ZF 6sp autos. These are GDI but I still see plenty of them around…

      TOYOTA DEALER SCAM. I bought a 24 Camry. Getting closer to my 1st 5000 mile oil change. I asked if they used full synthetic that toyota requires . No we use synthetic blend
      Sorry synthetic blends can contain as little as 10% synthetic. However we will put in full synthetic for a $19 surcharge. I don't believe 16W blend exists. I understand why toyota is offering 2 "free 10k oil changes" eg to increase resale value of 3 yr lease vehicles. This is total crap 5k recommended oil change with 16W full synthetic
      Or FREE 10k 20W oil changes or pay $19 surcharge BTW $150 is their rate to do an oil change. Looks. Like the bean counters are taking over toyota And take a look at the tiny 2year battery they install. Last I checked a 5 qr jug of mobil 1 full synthetic 16W was under $30 at Walmart

    Very few people actually “needs” all wheel drive. When I lived in Denver I learned that snow tires on a two wheel drive car did far better than an awd without. We first experienced this when my wife’s Subaru Forester spun in a circle three times while we tried to make u-turn which caused us to laugh our asses off because there wasn’t anything we could do except wait. If you “need” awd get a 4x4.

    • @cardo1111
      @cardo1111 Před 2 lety +3

      Well said. I live in the NY Metro burbs and completely agree with you. Here everyone thinks they need an AWD vehicle some years we get hardly any snow, some a little heavier snowfall. I have found a good set of stud-less dedicated winter or all weather tires will get you through nearly any snow conditions. The only issue is if it is a heavy snowfall and the roads were not plowed yet or the plow truck left some high spots on the road while turning etc. in a standard sedan ground clearance or lack thereof can be an issue.

      Yes you're right tires make a huge difference. But awd with winter tires will always beat a front wheel drive with winter tires. I do lots of snowboarding, rock climbing, cross country skiing, etc where the terrain isn't the most friendly and I've driven fwd with winter tires and had the car slip on me. But yea I really agree for sure most people actually don't even need suv's yet they still buy them.

      A month or so later the bottom of his oil pan also rusted out (mechanic warned him that would be next). Once again a few miles with no oil, and a ton of spilled when he filled it up in the parking lot only for it to come right out the hole.

Better yet this Bluetooth scan tool pairs with IOS, Windows and even Android. So I planning on upgrading to an Android T’Eyes CC3 2K head unit so I can display engine telemetry on demand. Other available options on the CC3 head unit aren’t even available on most 2023 model cars without a serious premium. I think Mazda is fully owned by Toyota. These vehicles are built better then any German 40k dollar SUV's. I never once had a single issue with any of my Mazda 4cyl TURBO engines or turbocharged units. The car gets another 109hp.. which makes the car a great deal of fun to drive.
