Brandon Li you mentioned the max payload. Any specific lenses or configs you would avoid due to weight? The A7III and 24-105mm is a pretty heavy combo, so likely it’s fine for any setup I have, but just checking. Also, any chance you’ll review that Italian gimbal you were using for a while? Or at least talk about it?
I'm always traveling so it's hard for me to receive packages, and it's even harder to travel with a bunch of excess gear. So I only review the gear I'm considering for real world use.
funny you say that, cause a recommended popped up about this gimbal a few min ago, i started to watch, and first thing i thought was: Whats Brandon's opinion on this. so here i am, to h-e-double hockey stick with the other reviewer :)
4:29 of you look at DJI’s guide they have you always put that riser block on the camera then the quick release plate mounts to that riser block, not directly to the camera. It’s not meant to be installed directly to the camera like that, and with that riser block it clears all my lenses just fine. 👍
This is seriously impressive, especially with the camera steady-shot stabilization; it looks like a dolly track! Incredible how far we've come at this price point....ordering one now!
By now we should all know that we dont come to watch these videos for an actual representation of how gimbals perform in real life since Brandon's arms and feet serve as an addition 10 stops of stabilization. That said, we just watch what he can do with yet another new toy so that us mere mortal can fantasize replicating these shots 😊
Wow. I almost bought the Ronin S the last couple days. I just didn't like it because it is a little too big and heavy for what I want to do. This sounds perfect for me. And I just ordered one. Thanks.
Such an awesome video. Its really great to see a video where someone demonstrates exactly what this can do, include th steady shot. Wonderful, im grateful thank you
Hi Brandon! Great video as always! You shot it in Seville, we just came back from there! Amazing place, loved it, particularly the Alameda de Hercules you’re shoot from. In the evenings this huge plaza gets filled with people having drinks on the streets and kids running around and it feels like a wonderful village.
Oh this is awesome! Just watched matti haapoja’s video and was wondering what Brandon Li would think of it. You’re a huge inspiration! Thanks for all your work!
Thank you Brandon for the straight forward and honest personal opinion on the device. Btw just Subbed, liked and Notifications on! keep up the great work man. looking forward to watching more dude : )
I was looking at the Used Ronin S last night, then I saw the new one was coming out this morning. The used was the same price as the NEW EDITION, just ordered it.
The way you're describing focus sounds like a "run and gun" type of thing. That focus wheel (with a little practice) can be used in a more "creative" capacity as opposed to a complete technical capacity.
Bear in mind, his set up with the sony a7iii and sony 24-105mm lens weighs over 1.2kg and it seemed fine to use so as long as you have a set up under that atleast, it should be more than fine. (using a dslr would be fine as long as its not too big, i have a nikon d3200 as im just starting out so hopefully it'll work out when it comes through)
@brandon. I found an interesting solution to the balancing issue. I put the camera further up then pull out the screen on the sony as a counterweight. Works perfectly and don't have to remove the eye peace.
if the camera can control the lens focusing......I don't understand why gimbals can't control focus digitally if connected to the camera. Why do we even need a focus motor attachment?
Interesting, I just checked your channel a few minutes before you uploaded just to see if DJI sent you too a sample to review because who else is best to review a new gymbal if not Brandon Li?
You are in la alameda, sevilla. Very nice place. Interview people about this place they will tell you some interesting stories from before it was paved and they built the police department there. Those were great times.
Omg there is to much gimball right now ! which one to choose and which one have the best future proof Moza Air 2 - Ronin S/SC - Crane 2/3 - Weebill lab !!!
@@BrandonLiUnscripted yeah I know, thats what I like about it. Alot of the other youtubes videos are giving off the impression there are no flaws with it etc and its the perfect gimbal.
Good point about the focus wheel on board. Might be better to get the base unit and the Tilta Nucleus-Nano, then mount the control unit and tablet to handles for someone to point and focus, nice.
what do you think performance of DJI Ronin SC vs Zhiyun Weebill, ...just leave the feature such as active track, etc. How smooth they are, which is better
Looks good but i still don´t know if I would change it for my glide cam as I travel a lot and I need something small which survives few bumps and glide cam is just unbreakable xD.. or should I try this one?
I will still stick to weebill lab , 3 main reasons. 1. weebill lab has the under sling mode when I want to shoot the low angle shot , that's the quick switch . 2. same problem unsolved which is A73+24105 , the hot shoe block the gimbal as well , that's what let me down. 3. apparently this is for travel film maker , for serious film making , we still need the big gimbal like Zhiyun Crane 2/3, Ronin S. so there is no reason for those weebill lab user to switch and purchase the Ronin SC.
Technically, if you are using a fly by wire sony lens, you should just use auto focus... Since I am stocking up on SLR MAGIC MICROPRIME lenses which are full manual and geared, this will be perfect.
I have one and have been trying to use it for slow, steady product shots on big objects like furniture, but the slower I go, the more it bounces around. Running with it is fine, not slow movements. Perhaps a vid on steadying the gimbal - antiwobbling, special arm bar holds?
I feel like gimbals work, but you still need to do some stabilization in post. My camera has no IBIS, only in lens stabilization so the footage is still jittery
From my own experience, I can say the gimbal doesn't perform well with a lenses without built-in stabilisation.. It is kind of frustrating that DJI even doesn't say about it.
Hey Brandon trying to figure which would be the best travel portable gimbal on the market today. I want to purchase my first gimbal and my only requirement really is portability, which gimbal do you recommend I go with? The Ronin SC?
Brandon, ur initial thoughts on this...having tried both the weebill lab and Ronin sc (short while ur have used it) OVERALL what are ur thoughts in comparing them? What one do u like more ?
I forgot to mention the axis locks. You can lock all 3 axis for easy travel. And you can remove the handle.
If you want to skip the extra chatter, I start actually using the thing at about 5:55
@@BrandonLiUnscripted never skipped a second in your videos, probably no one does 👌
Brandon Li you mentioned the max payload. Any specific lenses or configs you would avoid due to weight?

Hi Brandon, do you think this would work with the bmpcc 4k with a lighter setup? or is the camera too wide for this?
can't find the app?
I've looked at a few reviews and as soon as I saw Brandon's video I knew this would be the most practical educated test...
About damn time you were included on these gimbal releases. Awesome Brandon 🙌
I'm always traveling so it's hard for me to receive packages, and it's even harder to travel with a bunch of excess gear. So I only review the gear I'm considering for real world use.
You’re opinion on this gimbal is the only one that matters you’re gimbal work is amazing
funny you say that, cause a recommended popped up about this gimbal a few min ago, i started to watch, and first thing i thought was: Whats Brandon's opinion on this. so here i am, to h-e-double hockey stick with the other reviewer :)
true that
damn learn the difference between your and you're ( you are) !!!

Hi Have you ever considered getting Moza aircross 2?
This is seriously impressive, especially with the camera steady-shot stabilization; it looks like a dolly track! Incredible how far we've come at this price point....ordering one now!
Best review I seen
Because you used zoom lens & without steadyshot
So actually even though using a Gimbal we get better/smoother results using camera IBIS even when its on the Gimbal ?
mgr5550 i think that’s what it means, which is a shame for those of us without IBIS 😭
I started shooting with a Sony A6300. I think this is the ideal equipment for my filming. Dji always getting over!
By now we should all know that we dont come to watch these videos for an actual representation of how gimbals perform in real life since Brandon's arms and feet serve as an addition 10 stops of stabilization. no joke. My footage isn't anywhere close lol
Thanks for showing combined 2 phone use (1 for viewing and 1 for moving)... It is the most coolest feature...
Brandon is one of the very few reviewers that I TOTALLY trust.
Wow. I almost bought the Ronin S the last couple days. I just didn't like it because it is a little too big and heavy for what I want to do. This sounds perfect for me. And I just ordered one. Thanks.
The Gimbal God himself. I've watched a ton of these videos today and I always appreciate your breakdown of the true practicality of equipment
Thanks for doing the "unfair" 105mm test. Good to see where the limits are.
No slow motion shots here ;-)
Nice, appreciate that You didn't use slow mo and post stabilisation like other youtubers and just showed us Raw results
Slowmo in gimbal reviews is just cheating. Tip: if a reviewer uses slowmo, watch the video at 2x speed.
You look like a video game character in the lower shot when doing the running test lol. Very helpful review, thanks
Thanks for the video! If you have to choose one between the Weebill Lab and this Ronin SC, which one will you take Brandon?
He choose weebils
Such an awesome video. Its really great to see a video where someone demonstrates exactly what this can do, include th steady shot. Wonderful, im grateful thank you

Well, Ronin-SC just launch today and you had review it? Great!
the only gimbal review that matters. brandon your the king of gimbals...
Looks like my morning is dji SC theme. Haha so excited to see when you upload a video Brandon! Thanks!!!
The only gimbal reviewer i trust
I've got this gimbal but haven't had a chance to fly it yet. So I'm excited to get out on the weekend.
The camera hitting the arm when entering under slung mode is pretty much a show stopper for me. So frustrating they made it that way
Only with long lenses
Theres a mounting plate that he didn't that goes on top of that balance plate. Giving you a quarter inch of clearance.
Oh this is awesome! Just watched matti haapoja’s video and was wondering what Brandon Li would think of it. You’re a huge inspiration! Thanks for all your work!
okay. It’s been a long time. But your videos just keeps getting better!
Kuya Ry! nasstress ako kung anong pipiliin kong gimbal kaya nanonood akong reviews ng trustable gimbal guru :))
Thank you Brandon for the straight forward and honest personal opinion on the device. Btw just Subbed, liked and Notifications on! keep up the great work man. looking forward to watching more dude : )
相比国内一片吹,这个是比较中肯的测评,没有掩盖缺点
Haha As a dude running a Veydra kit, I'm actually stoked for the compact wireless focus pull.
If you have geared lenses you'll love it.
You are the expert when it comes to gimbals so this is the most legit review. Thanks.
I was looking at the Used Ronin S last night, then I saw the new one was coming out this morning. The used was the same price as the NEW EDITION, just ordered it.
Once again Mr. Li.
A splendid review.
Great work Brandon! I bought the Ronin SC after watching this video and cant want to show off the videos I make with it
I think this gimbal is perfect for Sony A6400. Ordered mine already to create more content!!! Thanks Brandon!
Not good as what Brandon showed in the video , without the IBIS and if we use the sigma 16/30/56 lens which is no OSS, it's quite jittery.
I think mounting a6500 would be great since the view finder is on the left side of the camera.
its very usefull detail, with this plate, and motor, and " focus by wire". I really trust those revews here .
The way you're describing focus sounds like a "run and gun" type of thing. That focus wheel (with a little practice) can be used in a more "creative" capacity as opposed to a complete technical capacity.
Thanks Brandon, your explanation is very clear.
Thank you very much for your honest review man
I was waiting for this in the collection of uploads today. The awesome real usage review I was hoping for.
Thanks Brandon.
Thanks, I think gimbals need to be reviewed outside, not at home in a studio.
ALWAYS THE ONLY OPINION I SEEK ON GIMBALS
Watched quite a few reviews but this has got to be the most informative, thanks for sharing!
OK i think I know now which gimbal I will choose. Very informative! Thanks!
What an amazing review! Totally helped my decision of buying it instead the Ronin S with Sony a7iii + 24-105mm set up! Thanks!
Have you got it yet?
Shervin Koushan yes I did
@@ohnojc and did it work?
Congrats on 300K subscribers!!!!!
there is a little plastic that goes between camera and plate so that the plate is not super close to the lens. and that comes inside of the box
Damn, I was just looking for your review and you just uploaded it. You are the best Brandon! ☺️💪🏼🙋🏻♂️
Thanks Brandon! I'm much happier with my weebill lab! 😁👍👍
it was by far the best review i've came across.... very detailed

you are far beyond professional.thank you.
This video helped me make my decision. You're truly an authority on camera gear!
A bit late to the party but I've just bought one of these. Thanks for the review.
if the camera can control the lens focusing......I don't understand why gimbals can't control focus digitally if connected to the camera. Why do we even need a focus motor attachment?
im sure its been mentioned but there is another extra part for mounting the longer lens on the base bracket to avoid rubbing
The best gimbal reviews!!! As always :)
Interesting, I just checked your channel a few minutes before you uploaded just to see if DJI sent you too a sample to review because who else is best to review a new gymbal if not Brandon Li?
Same here.🙂
Great video , great test.................................
Damn I was hoping it won’t have the trigger lock for it like the Weebill
Yeah it has the trigger
Only video with IBIS on/off comparison (So far as I have seen). So I think the question of wether or not you should use IBIS with a gimbal is closed.
You're supposed to use the included riser if the plate is touching the lens.
You are in la alameda, sevilla. Very nice place. Interview people about this place they will tell you some interesting stories from before it was paved and they built the police department there. Those were great times.

Moza Air 2 - Ronin S/SC - Crane 2/3 - Weebill lab !!!
after researching gimbals for a while, i'm going for the Ronin SC tbh
Thanks for the video 🙏
Haha i love all your video..
And i even love filming..
I don't have cameras so i used my phone..
No biased opinion with some fancy b-roll just to try and sell the product - nice review
I don't care if anyone buys it, I just like trying the latest gear to see if I can push my camera moves further.
@@BrandonLiUnscripted yeah I know, thats what I like about it. Alot of the other youtubes videos are giving off the impression there are no flaws with it etc and its the perfect gimbal.

Amazing Brandon! You are gimbal God! Nice video as always. Thank you for your honest review😊
Nice review Brandon 👌🏻
The place you are looks like Sevilla 🤔 are you in Sevilla?
Good point about the focus wheel on board. Might be better to get the base unit and the Tilta Nucleus-Nano, then mount the control unit and tablet to handles for someone to point and focus, nice.
yes a second operator is much more practical. But you need low-latency wireless video, which is a bunch of extra stuff to rig.
Good honest talking points. Nice work
I really enjoyed your review. You showed me things only talked about in other reviews.
By far the best video about sc thanks
what do you think performance of DJI Ronin SC vs Zhiyun Weebill, ...just leave the feature such as active track, etc. How smooth they are, which is better

Can you connect a light to it?
the only review I've been waiting for, yeah boyy
Great review as always. Informative and focuses on the details. How does it compare to the weebill lab (recent firmware)?
I will still stick to weebill lab , 3 main reasons. 1. weebill lab has the under sling mode when I want to shoot the low angle shot , that's the quick switch . 2. same problem unsolved which is A73+24105 , the hot shoe block the gimbal as well , that's what let me down. 3. apparently this is for travel film maker , for serious film making , we still need the big gimbal like Zhiyun Crane 2/3, Ronin S. so there is no reason for those weebill lab user to switch and purchase the Ronin SC.
all these gimbals... still really just love the OG Zhiyun Crane 1
That's still a reliable gimbal for sure.
