I was evangelical until I changed the question I was asking the text. When I asked what does the Bible actually SAY, I became Lutheran

LeftOverWoman321 High Church is a traditional liturgy performed using the elements of church worship that focus all 5 senses on God. Chanting singing scripture and prayers, usenof special music, incense etc are examples. In my opinion the divine services are the very best at focusing our whole beings on God in a way that reveres God and reminds us that God is coming down to us and reminds us of a true and right doctrine.

I was starting to hear calvinist preachers, modern evangelicals, and the like and was starting to feel like it is so hard. The gospel became muddled in my head. Then God brought me back to worldvieweverlasting, and I saw it was dissolved! Sad. But undaunted, I searched (a few seconds) and found this channel! Oh how sweet it is, and liberating to come back to law and gospel. To read through the lenses of confessional Lutheranism. It is truly liberating.

Glory...for your teaching!! LAW AND GRACE..oh if our dear pastors of the 70's and on would have/could have taught this from the pulpit...I left so many Sundays sad and confused from the sermon...THANK YOU
PASTOR FOR BEING SO FULL OF JOY

Coming out of a Baptist, Presbyterian background the Lutheran teaching on Law and Gospel was like handing me a new Bible from the one I had been studying for years. Thank God and faithful Lutheran Pastors. God's peace

Craig Parton, a devout Evangelical for much of his early life, like Pastor Wolfmueller, learned the importance of this distinction after becoming Lutheran. In his book, The Defense Never Rests - A Lawyer's Quest for the Gospel, he writes, "This rhythm of directing me immediately back to works after hearing the Gospel and the forgiveness of sins was my daily diet from Evangelicalism's best pulpits and conference centers. Ironically, I later learned that this is the same rhythm found in Roman Catholic theology. It is, therefore, unsurprising that many Evangelicals are converting to Rome. The rhythm of Law-Gospel-Law was not understood by me as doctrinal confusion at the time. The theological categories of Law and Gospel and the biblical roles of each either do not exist or are not taken seriously outside of the Reformation. Such theological clarity does not exist in Evangelicalism and cannot unless there is a return to the Reformation."

One more thing. As a LCMS pastor of an earlier generation (yeah, I'm old) listening to such a faithful confession of the Lutheran faith (i.e., the one, holy catholic faith) gives me such joy. Well done young pastor! :-)

  • @mjbarbaraconstantestremera5509

This has really really helped me....I've been a believer for a while and I'm JUST starting to read the Bible properly and realizing I've believed some false doctrine in the past. I can't say I'm a Lutheran because I'm still learning but it's convincing lol

I’m so glad I found you! I wish I could go to a Lutheran Church ⛪️ like yours! We go to a small church and the preacher preaches good but he speaks in tongues all the time even while he’s preaching and it’s very annoying to me! But there’s no other place to go!!

Thank u I have definitely been super confused about this
I am a new believer and have not been baptized yet trying to find a church to get baptized.
The church I was attending turned out to be false and I’m having a hard time finding a true one
But thank u for clarifying law vs gospel

I love the subject, and believe one video is not enough. I used to read the Bible wrong. Until I put Jesus’ words first, then understanding everything else in the Bible through Jesus’ words. Read Jesus’ parables to understand the Gospel, then take the Apostle’s words in that light.

Pastor Wolfmueller: Great vid, again. One point of clarification, your quotation from The Book of Concord, Solid Declaration was from 1577, not 1877. A little slip of the tongue. Heh, we all make mistakes. :-) With all the vids you do I am amazed that you can keep it all straight. Kudos. The Lord be with you.

God's promises are revealed in the 33 unconditional promises and the 225 conditional promises, but what about the least commandments which number 1,200, or what about the 200 doctrines and let us not forget the prophecies, meaning you need all categories in order to reveal the gospel, the gospel of the kingdom, the New testament and the new covenant.

God's anger didn't kill Jesus, ours did. The cross is not changing God's mind about us it is about changing our mind about God. God ( the Father ) was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. Clearly God never abandoned Jesus on the cross. Read Psalm 22. That's whT Jesus was directing us to do.
