    Kisi ne bhi nhi socha hoga itne saare changes k baare me specially the power and torque figures. Force Motors ne koi hype nhi create kari, na hi jaroorat se jyada test mules road pe utare, bas silently kaam karte rahe (action speaks louder than words). I hope this Gurkha gives tough competition to Thar.

    Force has done a good job providing 138hp of power. 0-100kmph times has gone down from ~29 secs to now ~19secs. The Thar 3 door did it in 13.xx secs. And the new 5 door That will obviously get similar output as the scorpio, so it wont be any slower I think. I know the 0-100 isn't something a prospective Gurkha buyer will be looking at, but from what I have heard in the reviews its not great pulling overtakes even with this power, which is a bit surprising. I would have expected with 80Nm more, the roll-on would be much better. Anyways I will wait for full review to see that. My main concern is the lack of space in the middle row. Sure, you get a 7 seater and for some that may work. But majority will make use on only 5 seat. They could have at least provided a reclining and folding and tumbling bench seat mounted a lil further back. I think they need to do that to make it more practical. An AT could be offered I think. the Gear indicator only has D-N-R on it, no point having it in a manual car. They could be testing a TC transmission, who knows. And I think they should provided that as an option. A lot of buyers are moving to ATs for sheer comfort of driving in city. And if the GB has a cog or two extra, it could make a world of difference on long stretches no? It not about speed, but if it can do highway speeds are lower rpms ( its is torquey engine), it could save fuel too. The only concern now is the price. Genuine enthusiast will look at it from purpose POV, but the general public will weigh in the quality, fit & finish, NVH, comfort etc especially when the price goes north of 20Lacs. And these buyers are important cuz only sales will make sure Gurkha lives on to next iteration.

    Namaste, Devesh ji. My father and I were looking at the Gurkha too when we were on the lookout for a new SUV to replace our Scorpio S6+ (2WD), and wanted to test drive the 91 bhp 3-door version. Unfortunately, the showroom was quite far away from where we live, and the dealer mentioned that Force had discontinued the Gurkha when BS6.2 (BS6 RDE) emission norms came into effect. That's actually the main reason why the Gurkha now comes with AdBlue to eliminate Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) emissions, and unlike what you had suggested in one of your replies to vetset3085's comments regarding the urea requirement, now even diesel engines smaller than 2 litres, such as the Kia-Hyundai 1.5 litre and the Mahindra 1.5 litre Thar/XUV300/3XO and Bolero Neo turbo-diesels now require AdBlue.
    There was another customer's Gurkha that we'd checked out, and he got the interior changed. We liked the interior room, but unfortunately couldn't ever understand how the Gurkha feels to drive. We ultimately went for a Scorpio-N 4x4, but still hold great curiosity and love for Force's unique SUV. I do hope that Force Motors will remedy the middle row of the 5-door Gurkha, because I think rear legroom will be non-existent if a person taller than 5' 8.5" (174 cm) drives the car. And I WANT Force Motors to act on it ASAP, because I know they did a lot of work in improving the Gurkha, and I WANT them to succeed in the passenger car division. But they need to quickly diversify their powertrains and not rely only on that 2.6 litre engine, because the company got fined by the government for not complying with Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) norms.
    I hope you're enjoying your Gurkha to the fullest, and I liked your "is saad ke saath main ghar pe kaam nahi kar sakta" 😂. Other than the tall height of the car, are there any other reasons why can't you use it as your daily driver?

    For a family man 5 door gurkha is more practical.
    But force motors has badly messed the middle row. Neither the seats move back and forth nor they recline. Not even foldable with 60-40 split ratio. This mistake completly ruined the prime purpose of 5 door model.
    3rd row is unnecessary. Nobody asked for a 7 seater 4x4. That space could have been used as boot space. Even if you badly wanted 3 rd row, they could have provided parallel foldable benches.
    2nd row and primitive infotainment system are just blunder mistakes.
    Force walo, agar 2nd row seats ka aur wo bakwas nippon infotainment walonke sath agar contract sign nahi hua hai to badal do ye sab. Varna bure fasoge.
    Other than that, I absolutely love the vehicle.

    Hope new gurkha doesnt have bearing failures every 5-10,000 kms.
    And mileage is better than 8-9kmpl

    Also agree about useless changing to rotary.
    They shouldve focussed more on ventilated seat and NOT providing any media center and other useless frills.

    Nice video as always. Glad that force had sorted out some of the major flaws. But still I wonder why force is always giving out half hearted approach to Gurkha. With proper planning, positioning and execution, this vehicle could become the iconic legendary g wagonish suv from india, to the world. If Thar or Roxor can come so far, why not gurkha! Force really needs to rethink their strategy with this vehicle.

    Personally id want a better dash dials, yes the 4₹4 switch is a pain, takes away the whole feel of the mechanical 4*4 manly lever. The steering is way too commercial and no controls mounted too. Rest is livable, force needs to have more reach as no one wants to travel 100+ kms for a service alone. And reliability needs to be proven

    Hi I had a short drive in the vehicle last week and we found the it to be spacious and seats very comfortable to ride.Though the interiors are very basic, like the 2003 Maruti 800 that we recently sold, the vehicle on offer ticks most of the boxes on my list.
    The fly in the ointment is 4WD shifter that has been replaced with an electronic rotary knob. Besides the introduction of electronics into the mix, the plastic used for the knob is really a cheap quality.
    In this context, I am not into hardcore off road; the Gurkha will be used primarily for over landing and the 4WD will be used, when necessary, to reach my destination.
    I am aware that you are not happy with the introduction of the rotary shifter, but would you consider this to be a deal breaker, given my proposed usage? Will appreciate it if you share your thoughts.

      I’m just nitpicking ! It’s perfect. The whole world is now using electronic shifters. We tend to compare with our BS6-1 Gurkhas that’s all, doesn’t make the new version any less appealing.

      Yes, alloys have more outward offset as well as wider tires, and as you mentioned bigger wheel arch to accommodate that. Overall a wider stance

      It should ! The 125 bhp rating limit is for 10 lacks kms plus of commercial use, Gurkha would never be used that much.

    Just after watching 1min 30 sec video I pressed the like n subscribe buttons cos what you are talking makes sense and you are technically sound too. Most reviewers rather suffer with more verbal diarrhoea and less knowledge.

    Only one thing missing in this vehicle. - Reliablity .. due to poor components . Sold off mine due to this , else a great ride .. nothing like it .

      कम्पनी से ही गाड़ी (बीएस६) या तो यूरिया के साथ आयेगी या LNT filter के साथ। हम कुछ नहीं कर सकते , बस सीखना पड़ेगा । छोटे डीज़ल इंजन गाड़ी बिना यूरिया के हैं और बड़े इंजन यूरिया के साथ।

      It’s not good for my needs, 90BHP engine has better bottom end pull for hills and we get snow here so add blue is a negative for winters.

      That will also have same level of Tashan and feel.

      @@Abhishekpandey-ox9ff Scorpio-N Z4 4x4 mein front brake-lock differential (BLD) aur rear mechanical locking differential (MLD) nahi dete. BLD aur MLD sirf Z8 4x4 aur Z8L 4x4 mein milenge. Interior room, performance Scorpio-N mein zyada milega, par wo Gurkha jitna achha off-roader nahi hoga. Main bolunga ki BLD aur MLD ke saath bhi Scorpio-N ke saath savdhaani ke rakhke chalna theek rahega.
