Formula 1 at it's peak. Old, flat Hockenheim, privateer teams, enthusiasts running them, charismatic drivers, sparks, V8, 10 and V12 engines. Best sound ever. Sadly, never again. In the late 90s they slowly started to ruin the sport forever.
This was the first circuit i visited in 1989 and i was walking along the first long straight to the Jim Clark chicane, when the cars where driving at about 360-370 km/h and the noise and the downshifting under braking was absolutely amazing giving me shivers all over my body.
Very nice!Including rare footage of the red BMS-Dallara with the Ferrari engine! I think it looked better than the real Ferrari... not a good car, but I really like a lot of those mid/back-field cars! :)
Ah no Andrea Moda in this clip! What car broke down by the way which got pushed behind the barriers? That Dallara handled terribly! Great footage though buddy, you should take a look at mine!
@@roeboat72 not too sure about that, considering the active suspension easily keeping the car flat. If that was the case, then Why do all the other cars sound consistent?
Max G in 1992 many cars didn’t have active suspension yet, for example Benetton didn’t have theirs until 1993. Mclaren didn’t run active suspension until 1993 as well. So 1992 was a year where some teams did but others didn’t.
@@roeboat72 obviously I know that. I was stating that if there was any car that shouldn't sound distorted over the bumps, it was the Williams, as it was the only car out there that had active suspension, other than Lotus and Ferrari at some stage also.

It's a shadow of it's former self now.
For me, the biggest lose is that demonic sound...screaming V10, V12's....
it started in 1998 when they got rid of slicks and narrowed up the cars
Come on. '95 to '06 was the peak.
V8: ford
V10: renault, mugen, Ilmor, Judd
V12: honda, ferrari, lamborghini, yamaha
A foretaste of the even more impressively beautiful screaming banshees they would become . Miss you F1
Still such a shame this track is gone, awesome footage here and i love the downshifts in the long distance at 4:00
Also known as the „hockenheim effect“ That deafening roar echoing through the woods miles away is just mesmerizing.
You are so right, the downshifts in the long distance are Pure Happiness, Happiness in the huge sense of the term. Thanks for commenting that!!
Bless you my son, real engines on one of the best tracks ever! Thanks
Those were the days!

5:41 Senna!!!!
It seems to assist to some lost world, some lost age. It's really difficult to believe that F1 was like that.
You mean fun ? Yup that wax sucked out of us by woke
gives me the shivers! such amazing footage, thanks for sharing!
Sensacional!!

Rare footage of the Williams FW15(A) that never got used in a race. I was glad about it as Senna/Berger fan then. Hard enough season. ;)
Nostalgia, tanta nostalgia...
This is amazing
Absolute music!

Isso era a verdadeira F1 !!!!

Honda v12 best sounding F1 engine ever

Beautiful 🥰😘🏎️
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
only 3 video?
Ich war da sondeln 👍
Hockenheim ❤️🖤
Some really weird sounds coming from teh Williams, engine note changes so weirdly,
Likely it is because of bumps you can see them bottoming out coming out of the chicane, those would cause the jumping of rpm.

Jonathan Palmer in the McLaren?
Senna fight schumacher
The reason of this vdo is only one...Senna was there...excelent...!!!!
Is 2:39 Michael Shumacher?
Yes
Correct
Just track rails n trees
Ah yes, the pre FIA went stupid era!
For some, the greatest circuit ever! And F1 killed thousands of trees to create in 2004-2005 the worst circuit ever!
