Great ideas. Going to spend today getting organized. Would love to see more videos like this.
awesome! 😄
Processes are everything. Thanks very much for doing this! Yes, I'd love to see more about how you keep things organized, your processes and also about your daily routines. Cheers!
Will do!!
I spent some time today putting coloring book images into folders on my desktop and into folders/subfolders on Canva. I also created a template cover on Canva of how I want my brand's cover page of the coloring books, mazes books, and puzzles books to look with boxes representing where I want my boxes to go and saved it and I did this by using Tangent Templates. Thanks for this helpful video.
you're welcome :)
Always good to see you. Thank you Paddy!
My pleasure
You are an excellent teacher, clear, precise, easy to understand and follow your instructions. I already started organizing Canva and creating my MASTER TEMPLATE. Thank you + Thank you + Thank you
Oh wow! thank you :) and you're very welcome!
Paddy I don't want to embarrass you with flattery but you have taken teaching this subject to a higher level. Dale Roberts over in the States said in one of his recent VLOGS that his wife was " watching Paddy of Stakinprofits" ! Great vid as usual.
Wow, thanks 😄 and Dale and Kelli are AWESOME! Kelli is one of the people who introduced me to Low Content Book through her channel back when she was active in publishing low content
Absolutely great teaching. I just purchased your LCB Vault and you go above and beyond to simplify and clarify the processes. Thank you.
You're very welcome! :)
Very cool! I've always been a folder>sub-folder>sub-folder organizer for business, but I really like the put just the number you need per book in one folder. What a great idea/time saver. I've been dating completed ones, so I know when I used them 032122, etc. Thank you! Getting or staying organized is huge!
Glad it was helpful! and that's a great idea too 👌
Fantastic! Thank you so much Paddy!
My pleasure!
This video is so helpful, Thank you Puddy !!
You're so welcome!
Love this! So helpful! Thank you!
Thank you :)
Absolutely necessary steps for a serious business owner, great video!!
Thanks :)
I really like your system!!! I need to work on all my downloads in my hard drive.
Thank you!
thanks
Great idea. Very organised
Glad you liked it
Thank you. This will me help a lot
Glad it helped
This is a a so brilliant. Thank you so much for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for uploading this video
It's my pleasure
Thanks for the tips. Great video. I've been having problems with my internet too for the past few days. Yes i do that too put used otherwise gets confusing.
thanks and it's annoying the internet slows down lol
Thank you so much for this Paddy, can I ask, do you leave a blank page between each of your colouring pages in case of bleed from markers etc
yes, like i stated in the video, that end page is what I would add in between every page, I don't tend to do that until I have created a book though :)
Best thing I ever did.
💪
Hello thanks for bringing very good tips!!! let me ask you something, how to know if those designs have been used by other creators of kdp books and then let's make repeated designs?
other people have probably used them, but there's thousands of coloring book niches that you can publish books in. plus, if you actually "design" on top of the pages then there should be no issues because no one will have the same designs as you
I needed this video THANK YOU so much Paddy. I’m in the process of creating an activity book but my coloring pages are not in a border.. they are literally going towards the end of the page… If I leave it will it be a disaster when printed …how far out to spread out the square
you're welcome 😄 if you click "file" in the top left hand corner of Canva then click "show margins" a little boarder will pop up on your page, I have my boarder a little outside this margin
@@StackinProfit Thank You so much 😊
I love working in bulk and I do this all the time too!! Do you recommend to tweak CF coloring book interiors a little, or it's not necessary? I'm afraid of duplicate content issues!! Great video thank you
if you use a pre-made interior then yes, it is very important to alter the interiors so that there are no duplicates. if you use patterned coloring pages then it is very easy to make unique as you can design quotes on top of them
@@StackinProfit that's a good Idea but I think patterned coloring books is super competitive right now I work with different low competition niches, do you think adding a different frame to the coloring page would matter?
Very helpful! Regarding Creative Fabrica - I find it hard to "browse" for designer and illustrations. If I have a specific need, the search bar is great, but sometimes I want to wander a bit. Any tips? Do you have a video on this already? Thanks!
check out his video :) czcams.com/video/ZuHFsOdETuY/video.html
Your info is great. You keep talking about Canva Pro. I am very new and do not have the pro version so my pages and operations are a bit different than yours. Do have any non Pro Canva videos you would suggest. Thanks.
thanks! I do plan on making more Canva videos very soon and I don't think I do as I'm always using pro features but I will keep that in mind for any future videos :)
Have you tried using the rectangular frame for the page borders? You can probably just drag and drop the images into each page and it should automatically fill the page.
yes you could do that :)
Hi, thank you for your video. I'm pretty new in KDP business. Can I ask you something? What kind of files that we can modify in Canva?
not many, think it's PDF's and some SVG's
Thank you very much! But please, I'm confused on whether to use the coloring designs I got from creative fabrica in jpg or png. The downloads came with both formats, which format should I use in my final design?
I tend to use PNG's more than JPG's
@@StackinProfit oh okay, nice
Great video, Paddy. I am a bit confused about the template creation. You have created 50 coloring pages. Do you not want to include a blank page after each one so as to avoid bleed-through? In other words, that 50 now becomes 100. Also, I always place my coloring page on odd page with blank page on even page. Is one way better than another in your opinion? :)
thanks and it would be 50 coloring pages, 100 sheets, the back would be blank as I explain here 16:27
@@StackinProfit Sorry Paddy, I missed that. Again, thanks so much. I get so much out of your videos. :)
Paddy Please a video about quotes because that's our only issue right now, you taught us everything except checking quotes ... thank you for everything
quotes are simple, stay away from anything related to celebs, tv shows, movies, sports teams etc. and there should be no isssues
@@StackinProfit I'll take your words, thank you Paddy I appreciate it
don't just take my word for it, start learning and use google to help you get a better understanding of what you can and can't do :)
Do you have a video of creating a cover for a colouring book?
not specifically a coloring book but I do have videos creating covers on the channel :)
Regards book cover size, actually Amazon KDP have a very good cover calculator! I've a problem with creating coloring book covers in bulk which is that every cover have different page interiors some 30 some 40 and so on do you have any solution for that!
Great tip! and I make more than one cover at a time and flip between them as I am creating them, I also make lot's of variations of the same cover until I have created one that really pops, then I delete the rest
@@StackinProfit I love your strategy, wishing you all the best! I usually work with Adobe Illustrator with notebooks covers but with coloring books I can't do bulk Art boards because every cover has different size that's my point
I have a questio about the docs you use from canva. I know that in amazon kdp if you use a mandala for example that is already in another book they can give you like an strike or somenthing like that. I know that the idea is to create different things with the canvas, but if I want to put only the mandala without a modification on it, don't I have the risk that it's already been used and get all my book strike down?
never use anything "as is" always use elements in combination with other elements to create a unique design
I have a question. You said that coloring books typically have about 50 coloring pages. But what should we do about the back of each coloring page? Should we leave it blank, or should we put something else in there?
50 coloring pages, 100 sheets, the back would be blank as I explain here 16:27
In minute 16:20, how can I make sure that bleed will not pass through the border or the square? Is there a certain dimension for that square?
you can use a KDP template :)
Hey paddy can i download the template from the designers and write a text on them, to publish on kdp??
yes you can but you don't just want to "write" some text on them, you would want to design a really nice looking quote on top of them :)
Paddy, one question, how do you create the book cover to make it colourful??
you have to design it, which take a lot of practice to get good
@@StackinProfit do you have any videos on it?
Apologies, but could you be more specific about where I could find the link to the video where you show how you create the quote pages. You say it’s in the right hand corner, but I just can’t find it. Many thanks.
there should be an (i) in the right hand corner of the video when watching, click that and there are extra videos
Nice video, but I am having issues with my cover book for paperback
what sort of issue?
@@StackinProfit I have bn trying to make a cover book for my paperback but they are telling me it's not the correct format.I did the calculation for the template, downloaded the template but still.I don't know where I am getting it wrong
The 4 Hour week, speaks about process, having a system is far easier to use and repeat. The friction is taken out.
great book :)
plz make videos with more volume,
the volume seems fine on my end :)
@@StackinProfit on my side with full vol.i can hear very little
So this is why there are so many uninspired unoriginal colouring books on Amazon, hiding away the good ones with quality images and paper. I have nothing against people creating colouring books, but please do it for the love of colouring books, not for the money, and create original unique content we colourists can enjoy. And please print on quality paper, that makes such a difference, and something lots of colourists will pay extra for.
if a book sells on Amazon, it moves up the rankings and sells more, if it sells more, it wove move even higher up the rankings, books that do not sell will slowly die off because Amazon likes to push products that sell. As for good quality paper, Kindle Direct Publishing takes care of the printing and shipping which is out of the publishers control.
No matter what you do, it all comes down to doing what you enjoy, I have fun creating my coloring books and thats why I create them and I also sell around 500 - 1000+ of my coloring books each and every month, so I know people enjoy my coloring books too 😄
