Penny seems like a sweet lady who deserved such a nice gift. I hope she has many years of enjoyment from her new bog gardens. Very kind of you to do that for her.
Ended up staying up late to watch this after all. Really nice thing to do for Penny. Looks awesome too. And my burmanii’s have gone to a good home. Can’t wait to see it all growing up. Cheers Joel
Yeah they multiply very prolifically. Luckily they are such lovely plants. Got a few thousand capensis sprouts if anyone is interested? ….didn’t think so.
I'm really glad I found your channel, but I'm a bit crushed you're moving out of Australia. I'm still a beginner, but am super passionate about carnivorous plants. While there are many good channels, you are the first in Queensland where I am! It's so cool to see the materials you use that I can access, and watch your success in THE SAME weather conditions as myself! Glad for you that you get to leave these brutal summers behind though. They are...character building! 😑
Haha yes, the summers are rough 🤣 it is possible to grow them here. If there’s a will there’s a way, but man it is a tough way haha. I’m always happy to help, send me an email if you have questions
Defs should plant them a bit lower and drill a hole in the side. Way less of a hassle than moving it every time it rains (especially with the wet summers we’ve been having lately!). Once moss grows in it will stop perlite from floating away too
Just holding thumbs for the moss to be fast haha. As we top water the soil will settle down giving a bit of a gap from the top like you mentioned, let’s hope It works well
I made a mini carnivorous plant bog garden last year or at the end of the end of the previous year. In the process of turning an old recycle bin into another one. Just waiting for for the plants to come in.
@@TheFlytrapGarden thanks for the reply. I actually live in karachi, pakistan. I basically wanted to compare your weather with mine but it seems like it gets a bit too hot at my place.
Think its time you moved on .. nearly all your videos start with you complaining about living here , too hot too much rain .. ect .. at the start when I started watching you I followed as you tried to get up and going but it's getting tiring listening to the complaining.. sorry .. but that's not why I want to watch this when all I want is to learn about carnivorous plants

Those Burmanii are prolific they’ll love their bog gardens and they will spread everywhere too 😁
@@TheFlytrapGarden about 2 years ago I bought 2 burmanii, now i don't think I have a single pot without burmanii growing in it.
