  • This is a compact version of a video made a few years ago.
One evening, long long ago, I went to bed after doing a small amount of research on the expanding foam packaging available from numerous manufacturers and retailers.
I woke up the next morning with an experiment in mind. How to create a similar type of packaging using the expanding foam from a DIY Shop or Hardware Store. I did get the job done in the end, the buyer received the sewing machine and was very happy with it. I wonder if they know about this video.
I was just playing around with a few ideas of course, there are easier and better ways to do this but I'm an inquisitive type of person, so just got on with it.
I sincerely hope you get something from this video.

Well that's better than the 49 minute version. Nice work!

One of those electric turkey carver knives from a thrift store cut through the foam like butter

Yes, good idea. I used far too much foam.

Milton Keynes? Armoured transport and flak jackets then? 😂

You're supposed to wad the paper up and mix it into the center of the foam so it cures all the way through instead of remaining soupy. It is not there to line or "protect" anything.

There's ZERO need for wet paper. Plastic bags are enough.
