You can roster date with intention. I have a friend who did exactly that and she was married within two years. She LITERALLY walked out of the date with her now husband to go to another date. She let him know that they were on a time limit because she had another date. A mature man is ok with that, he understands the nature of competition.

I'm so happy you voiced your opinion on wanting a man that makes more money than you. I have friends that I can't even share that with because they'll feel like I look down on them but I'm secretly vetting men by their finances. I do rather well financially and I just can't be with any guy. I've done that in the past and he would say things like, "I mean you got it Ms. Big Money". Never again will I put myself through that!!!

@aindreaclarke362 she isn't an agony aunt, she's speaking from her experience and whilst that probably wasn't the only issue, it was one and one that probably made a big impact. Any sensible person would advise a person in a situation where a man is making less and the relationship is doing well is to continue if that's what works for them and makes them happy, I mean isn't that common sense?!? Hi Maya! I was divorced around your age in 2019. I put myself on a similar timeline as you but God side eyed me girl… 😂 Once I learned how to DECENTER MEN, I really started living. I’m turning 39 in a few days and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my adult life. No husband, no dating, no roster. And I always had a man girl! 😅 I say all of this to say, God definitely knows where your happiness lies even if you think it’s somewhere else! ❤❤❤

I’m thinking of going this route as well cause it’s so evil out here and most of these men are so hurt and are just looking for someone to use. In this season of isolation I’m just refocusing on my finances my child and simply traveling and getting myself together.

Online = 10/10, I do not recommend. You have the opportunity to go out and live your life occasionally, which is the best way to meet someone. You said it yourself, first impression. That alone says a lot.

Such a great video. A lot of us weren’t taught how to date and too many of us are uncomfortable with having a roster of quality men until marriage. The way that you paid attention to how YOU feel and behave with someone and what YOU want and don’t want will help you so much in dating and everything else in life. Continue living your life!
I had that issue with rotational dating where men would want to make me their GF around the 3 month mark and a lot of times they're just trying to get your pants. I cut off a few guys because of that.
Also try going to conference, seminars, business event even if your not interested in that line of business. Definitely tons of professional men in those places. There a few business conferences coming in Atlanta next month and technology exp in June

Maya I am happy you are putting yourself out there and dating while still in therapy. Also I know you said you aren’t concerned about timelines but then you said you wanted to be in a rship by next year,engaged the following yr, then married the following year. Screw timelines altogether and just listen to your intuition. Everything that is suppose to happen, will. So just enjoy with no expectations and you will see things naturally fall into place.
Thats if I had it my way because I do want marriage preferably in my 30s. As a lot of us do, Just being honest. But I’m so uninterested in forcing that. I want what God has for me. Whenever that comes, I’m ok with! ☺️
