I wish kimi was more than a one time wdc
He didn’t even deserve it in 2007

We don't know what happened that day but all we know is he got his gloves, steering wheel, and drink
Can someone please explain to me the drink reference, I’m new to f1 lol
@@ericrossoni drivers usually have a tube connected to a water supply whilst driving to drink. During a certain race kimis water feeder wasnt working so he asked like 8 times whether he can drink water or not. Kind of hard to explain. Just youtube kimi water meme or some shid like that
@@ericrossoni the tube was assumed to be disconnected. and he was asking the engineer that if he pressed the button to drink, will it pump the water and spill all over him. But since the engineer is not understanding English, he just told him ,after many explanations by kimi, " you will not have the drink ". Alas, it became a meme of this element that if it is present with Kimi, along with the steering wheels and gloves, he becomes the ultimate champion quality driver. That, if he gave 2 cents for the race though.

Super helpful thank you!
Kimi was possessed by senna that day
This is what F1 is missing now. Lightweight monsters that are actually aggressive to drive, cars in which you can see every single input by the driver. And the heavenly sound
In that season you had to qualify with race fuel onboard in a singellap qualy. Kimi had more fuel onboard then anybody else and put it on pole. Engine penalty put him 11th on grid for the race.
I'm a mclaren fan and if he never left, he would have 3 wc titles.
@@1AngryPandaKimi won the race from pole

Kimi and alonso lost many championships to circumstances out of their control they’re so underrated even with the massive respect they do garner

If those mclaren's that he drove back then was reliable, he would've been multiple champ
See, shit like this is why I became a diehard Raikkonen fan. So icy round the track he froze the Monagasque Harbour.

Couls be the best prime ever or atleast in the top 3, it's a shame the mclaren wasn't reliable at all
I hate how McLaren and Ferrari wasted his talent. Kimi would win all the titles, if not for team faults.
@@kyaryi1mclaren tried atleast, ferrari just ruined him with their cheap politics.
In the wise words of Marc Priestly
“The two most complete drivers I’ve ever worked with are Lewis and Fernando… but Kimi was always the fastest, he’s the fastest racing driver I’ve ever worked with”
Kimi in his prime is a scary scary race car driver... Half a second around Monaco sheeeeeesh.
That's astonishing. One of the main reasons I still lose my mind when I see the 1988 Senna P1 in Monaco, 1.5 seconds faster than Prost in P2, in the same car. Simply absurd. If I hadn't watched it, I would certainly say it's impossible.
Kimi in mclaren mercedes was just on a path to become new senna

2005 Kimi was another level
It pains me knowing Kimi was close to getting multiple WDCs :/
not really, you saw it that once he won one, his drive to win decreased, it didnt fully fade but i dont think he cared about another title
I think he means purely mathematically. Came close in points but not quite.

Best hobby racer to this day… 😊
Prime fucking Kimi, the fastest driver ever born ❤️
Happy Birthday Kimi, We will always love you 🎉❤
* Senna.
F1 cars looked so much quicker than today's cars
Prime Kimi was crazy fast.
A legend among legends.
I wish the iceman was still in the grid. Every legend is retiring, one after the other. 😭
It's the 3rd generation I see retire. It's always sad.
Never feel excitement like this these days. The commentary mixed with the sound and better looks of the cars just makes these clips awesome 😍 current f1 has nothing on this.
The final pilot of the old stock. Born with immense talent, not manufactured from youth.
The music makes this 10X more epic even though it’s kimi and he was amazing
He was so fast that even the camera lags recording him
Kimi😢
Now then Mr Raikkonen... best lap ever
This is THE Kimi. Most F1 fans only know him for his iconic radio messages, but they forget that his raw pace was phenomenal in his prime.
This is for sure up there with Hamilton's pole lap at Singapore in 2018.
FOR EVER KIMI !!! 🇫🇮 🏆💪🏽🔥
Kimi in that car was a monster! Just on another level
Kimi is the perfect assassin.
He was a beast at that time!
Wow
Imagine the adrenaline going through his spine 💀💀
Kimi will always be my favourite racer, absolutely fearless
Kimi was channeling Senna that day
It's a perfect lap😍
🥶
I honestly can't name a more exciting track to watch qualifying. On a razors edge of control and a wall.
That kimi and that mclaren though unreliable made my experience of f1 memorable.
Bring back that engine 😩
I also love Hamiltons lap in the wet in Austria. Almost 2 seconds faster than anyone else
My biggest flaw with Hamilton’s rain soaked Austria lap was that it’s very over glorified, he was only 2 seconds faster because really no one else got to put a lap in, Verstappen was going quicker and was up on Hamilton’s sector times but bozo’d himself into the 2nd to last corner and lost all the advantage by 360ing his way off the track, Bottas is Bottas and I’m pretty sure he had trouble on his lap as well, I’ve always seen it as a “yes he was 2 seconds quicker than anyone but no one really got to complete their lap”
Kimi definitely knows what he's doing
The music is so quiet, I can still hear the dialogues!
Ice man
I wouldn't call it the best.
It's one of the best.
Could be the best if we take into consideration that he was running a heavier car than others most likely as during that time he used to do the qualifyings with way more of gas than the others and still be the fastest, the reason being that during that era there was refills and you had to start with the same amount of gas as you qualified with if I recall correctly
@@PlatinumAgar You didn't have to start on the same amount of gas you did q3 in.
@@truehunger108 had to. 2005 rules were like that

"ALLMOST HALF SECOND, HALF A SECOND!" Super epic! ❤
Kimi could’ve been the best driver on the grid if he just had a good team
Mclaren screwed him up in 2003 and 2005.He would've won in both of the years but, mclaren was so unreliable so that messed up his chances of being a 3x Wdc
Yeah, and if the car was acually fast in 04 and 06 thos would have been his years also and 08 and maybe even 09 if he didn't just stop caring after the first wdc
He went plus ultra 💯🎯
Absolutely insane by Kimi
He just opened up the throttle this whole lap just and the edge of the walls and corners. He just left his fear some where else. He just pushed and pushed every second f this flying lap. He smashed the 2nd place guy on pole by half a second. That's how you drive to win 100% . Just fearless that champion. RESPECT TO KIMI RAIKKONEN. JUST SMASHED THE LAP TIME. HALF A SECOND ON THIS YRACK THE HARDEST TRACK ON THE F1 COURSES.
Senna 1988 pole lap
came for typing that comment. Kimi's one was good but the title of "best pole lap" belongs to Senna for sure. He had that pole with almost 1.5 second in front of his rival, Prost in the same car.
@@metcat88 prost wasn’t a qualfier he was more of a racer so your comment is kinda not worthy
@@kimiraikkonen949 If being 1.5 seconds faster than P2 (your arch rival who's using the same car) in qualifying at a track like Monaco is not worthy to mention, either you're a big fanboy of someone else only or you just don't know about anything F1.

Kimi could have won more at Ferrari, but he probably left because of all the BS and incompetence.

No Its senna
Not even close. Senna out qualified his teammate by 1.5 seconds in Monaco.
Well Kimi did outqualify his teammate by 1.2 seconds so it's close between those two but hard to compare them as they were so different eras
prost wasn’t a qualifier so he didn’t care about qualifying. sennas pole lap is kind of overrated
Teammate in an inferior car, as admitted by Ron Dennis himself.
The 90s is my absolute favourite era of F1, but the 2000-2009 era was immense!!!!!!!!! Those cars looked way faster than today and the sound!!!!!!!! OOF!!!!!
