- Demo of the boss fight for Skaakmet. You can destroy the orbs to stop him from healing, or if you are lucky enough to tear him down before you have to destroy them, they will give you a 50 magicka max bonus each.
"We're putting in an undead dragon boss."

Question. Is this supposed to be Skakmat from Daggerfall or is Skaakmet a different dragon.
Yes its skakmat or "sah ahk med" in actual dragon language. We are head canononing that nulfagga changed his name to diminish his power and bind him to her. This early video had it misspelled.
Hold the phone, I knew the name looked familiar. Is this Skakmat, Nulfaga's familiar? Is Skaakmet meant to be his real name, like how Nafaalilargus is Nahfahlaar?
yes it's the same, it's just a misspelling. We may adjust the name to fit the 3 syllable confines though before all is said and done.
I actually came up with something :P His real name is Sah Aak Mid (meaning Phantom/illusionary, guidance or guide, and Loyal, so "Loyal Phantom Guide") which fits in the context of him being an spectral being which came from one of the pocket realms that Nulfaga traveled to. She changed his name to Skakmat in a way to subvert the power of his own name and keep him bound to her.
