- Wilmington is a town in Windham County, Vermont, United States. The population was 1,876 at the 2010 census.
The town was chartered in 1751 by Benning Wentworth, colonial governor of New Hampshire. It was named in honor of Spencer Compton, 1st Earl of Wilmington. Wilmington is the home of Haystack Mountain Ski Area, which operates as a private Club, The Hermitage Club.

I had a camp in Wilmington for 50 years and over that time it became increasingly corrupt until there was no law or rule you could not cross for an outlay of money including changing the property lines even if you had they original boundary maps drawn by the same surveyor 50 years earlier. Also, the difference between residential property and commercial property ceased to be applied for the correct payment.
