- So here's the blind test. Can You guess it?
Modification of Akai S900 was made by mpccenter_eu - I really recommend to contact them if You need to repair or modify Your hardware - they're tested by me like You see :) My MPC 2000xl, MPC 3000, MPC 2000 and SP-404 was repaired by them and now this S900 :)

Samples was recorded from 4000Hz to 6000Hz so if You have S900 You know that pretty low for hihats :)

You might wanna check out our EMAX SP Filter Mod. It removes the Alias filters from the EMAX, and the end result is a sound very much like the SP-12 and SP-1200.
Emax has to be the second one on the first example. It has a bit of filtering which modded S completely lacks of?

I like 2A the best... I'm seriously considering getting an Emax or mirage but if 2A is the Akai then I might need to consider that instead

im gonna guess that the s900 is 1a and 2b, and the emax is sample 1b and 2a

Interesting mod. Who is doing the mod and how is it done? 🤔 is the mod didctractive - is there on off switch to get back to normal S950 smooth creamy creamy 😋 sound if one wants to?

And yes, there is killer switch on left right channel right know but we will make that on dedicated channels also.

I own an emax...i can't guess.. but i'll just say for sample 2 I prefer A
for sample 1 I prefer B

No idea which is which so how is this helping anybody? Not trying to be a jerk but every comment says the same thing. It would be helpful to say "Here is the sample plain. Here is the sample played after recording on box 1, etc." If u want it blind to remove bias then fine but give us a starting reference & reveal the results at the end.
