    Dude... I've been shooting for 17 years and have watched dozens of hinge how to videos. This is honestly my favorite. I'm not able to use back tension to execute my shot for the life of me. I love how you explained this method because it's so much easier for me. I think it's hilarious that most of the "big CZcamsrs" say this is the wrong way but archery is all about consistency.

      Thanks! I was having the exact same problem and that inspired me to come up with this method

    ok, not to throw spoiler! but you shouldn't be rotating your hand nor your wrist to allow the release to trigger/release...
    just loosen your fore-finger/index finger pressure, this rotates the release & fires.... just by a natural reduction in pressure
    rotating your wrist, hand or adding lower pressure to teh release your adding unnecessary movement, adding pressure & concentration to what your doing ie rotating your hand/release.. rather then your aim point.

    • @RuthlessBalls
      @RuthlessBalls  Před rokem +1

      The click should be used as the anchor point. The click tells you it's safe to begin your execution

      @@RuthlessBalls I tried using a hinge only way to make it fire is to rotate it and as I’m pulling through the shot it pulls me off the bullseye
      Thumb works best for me set pin on the x dump the thumb pipe done the middle

    • @RuthlessBalls
      @RuthlessBalls  Před rokem +1

      @@jasonnester9514 Pulling caused me the same problem. That's why I came up with the method used in this video. Moving pressure to my outer fingers works bette4r than just pulling harder and harder. And if you have to rotate it, either force yourself to rotate to the click, or make the release hotter.

    That click is very loud and deer in close can hear it very well

      The click is very loud because I amplified it. Plenty of people shoot animals with hinges with the click.

    Your pulling with the ring and index fingers. Your wrong on this method. You should hold with those two fingers and center the mind on even tension between the shoulders. Now you can properly execute the shot. Relax the index finger. and guess what happens. The shot goes off. If you think i'm wrong watch your index finger. You and many others have this wrong. I have watched thousands of vids and shot many arrows to know this is the only method that doesn't cause over or under tension. the real method that should be taught. And you proved it with you own index finger. Ask Sergeo Pangis

    • @RuthlessBalls
      @RuthlessBalls  Před rokem +8

      I have actually tried that method. It didn't work for me because it often caused my peep to move up, and it caused creep, where I came off the back wall slightly. Also, kinesthetically, it doesn't make sense. Having tension in literally every other part of your body, and then trying to relax just one part will inevitably cause some other muscles to relax.
      Also, if you watch my index finger before I come to the click, it is moving and relaxing to get my hand in the position that I like. I use a very similar method to Kris Schaff and Reo Wilde, though my hinge is much colder because of the hand position that I like. With this method I am usually shooting between 347-350 with a 351 pb on a 50m WA round.

    • @RuthlessBalls

      Unfortunately, you need a solid back wall to use this method. I don't think it'd work
