Good to see you again, I'm relieved you didn't give up after 2.2! My housemates and I are watching OFMD together-- I've seen season 2 already, but am the only one in our house who's already seen both seasons-- and I insisted we watch episode 3 immediately after episode 2. Because the end of episode 2 is a very painful place to stop, and episode 3 is so beautifully done and feelings-full and ultimately hopeful. (Ed untying himself? YES.) And I am living for your Zheng Yi Sao appreciation! I love that she gets to be badass and clever and dorky and lovelorn all at once.
Rhys' acting in this episode breaks my heart-- especially his response to "Go on, Bonnet, gimme your worst." As far as Stede knows, these people have killed the love of his life, and one of them's trying to pick a fight with him about it, and he doesn't look angry, just disappointed and exhausted-- because he loves the crew, too, and is going to do everything he can to rescue them. The last scene rightly gets a lot of attention, because it's so moving, but there are quieter moments that have a lot to say about grief and responsibility and how difficult it is to balance them when you're carrying both at once.

Oh, no way in hell I'm doing anything but loving this show! Sorry for the slow updates, I'm still a little behind schedule but the episodes will def come out eventually.
Oh Zheng Yi Sao is AMAZING, I love her, she is my Queen ❤
God dont get me started, I was so close to crying everytime Izzie or Steve were on screen, this episode has to be one of my favorites so far!
