The pair addressed the ‘many speculative narratives’ behind their split, but insist it was a ‘united decision.’ News first broke on Tuesday, after ET confirmed Joe filed for divorce after four years of marriage.

I will be honest, I didn't see the divorce coming. They seemed both so happy together and recently welcoming a second child and all. It's always sad when it doesn't work out in the end. More so when there are to young children involved. I really hope they both can manage to co-parent in a healthy way and be their for their children regardless of the divorce.
Well, I certainly did. Both married too young and too early. One is ready to settle, while the other one is still not ready to give up on the party life.

I'm not trying to sound like a scornful wise-ass here, but they did get married rather young (especially her) and had their two children pretty fast! 🤦🏽♀️ Sophie Turner basically spent all her teenage years working day and night on Game of Thrones and initially moved on to life as a wife and mother. There was no college life, no gap year, no shared flat parties, no time when she was sowing her oats and just figuring out who she is as an adult, a woman, a smart, emotionally healthy individual... Celebrity or not, it's always those girls and boys who feel the natural urge to fledge at a later point in life (usually at a point when children are involved in the suffering). This sure is sad, but doesn't look entirely surprising.

We can only speculate what has happened but if true going partying, sleeping around when you have kids at the age of 27 is kinda super dumb tbh. I do not think that during the time she was working on Game of Thrones she didn´t go partying, celebrating, had fun. Acting can be hard for sure, but do not make acting look like people are doing PHD in rocket science. And marrying at 23 is relatively young in western world, but tbh ... she wasn´t that young in general. Maybe you are right, but I still think this type of behaviour is unfair, especially to the kids. You get married, have kids, you take responsibility, it was her choice also, there is no room for narcissism when you are a parent.
She got married at 24..!! Which is a perfectly normal age to get married. I am pretty sure she was having a lot of fun while filming game of thrones. It wasn’t like she was playing Job Snow or Dany.. she was Sansa. She had a lot of time. I don’t believe she had any less time for fun.

It's been said on several occasions including by Joe Jonas that Sophie is the homebody and he's always out...he's been seen out partying at 3am recently too. The entire thing has been a smear complain against Sophie and it's completely disgusting, including Sophie trying to keep her children protected from media and as soon as joe planned the divorce he took the kids out to be photographed to look like dad of year. Just because she went to a wrap party doesn't mean she's some partier and there's nothing wrong with her going back to work when she hasn't been working for years and Joe has been on tour almost the entire time she was.pregnant and almost the entire time she's had the kids at home... but nooooo such a bad mother. This'll be difficult for the two of them, as well as future partners they have. Nothing will convince me otherwise, but going into a relationship with a pre established family never works out. I hope they can get themselves together and grow from this. Especially Joe, since he has a bit of a track record.

Divorce is a last resort only used in extreme cases where one partner is physically abusive ( which by the way rarely happens) unlike westerners who divorce for silly, trivial reasons.

The weird part is some people in the comments think this exclusive to celebrities or that they were too young. Yet everyday people get divorced faster than they decide to get married, and just like 20 year olds there are 40 year old who get married too soon only to divorce sooner than the 20 year olds.
Celebrities aren't unique, if anything they depict the exact conditions of real life, just that they're in the lime light and rich and our lives are private and some private and rich.

Why do people give up on their marriages so easily? In the end it is the kids who will suffer. They will be left with a broken home whilst their parents move on with other partners. Considering who these 2 are, finding someone new shouldn't be an issue.
Every marriage has ups and downs. 4 years isn't that long in the slightest. If these 2 want the best for their children, they'd attend marriage counselling and make every effort to reconcile. TRY HARDER.
I think they way they're handing this is very mature. People gossip and judge others for divorce, pushing for the romantic narrative that marriage is always forever and that because you have kids you cannot break that vow. But in reality, much as you try to make things work, if unhappy you need to do what is needed for you. Yourself and your kids deserve to witness you living the best version of yourself. Doesn't mean the other person is horrible. It just means life is pushing you in a different direction to ensure your soul is fulfilled with whatever ventures wait for you.
