    As someone who's worked as a hostess in of the most top tier restaurant in Joburg, I made sure black people received the best service and treatment from me. I'd never put a white person on some higher level, never. Basically my point is whether you are black, purple, blue or Grey, you'll get the same treatment (kindness, warmth, proper service delivery) from me. Ubuntu is what I was taught... And leading with that attitude/mindset has only made me a better person in society. ❤️

    • @angrysocialjusticewarrior
      @angrysocialjusticewarrior Před rokem

      @@AjCele I suspected that this could be the reason. This is why most of the complaints about preferential treatment, are complaints regarding almost only restaurants.
      I've never worked in any servant role, but I can imagine how annoyed I would be having to bend over backwards and then not get a single cent as a tip. So I always tip, I even tip delivery drivers. The problem comes when such waiters give a bad service because they "expect" me not to give a tip when I was actually planning to give a generous tip as soon as I walked in, and therefore their attitude changed my mind and made their expectations come true.

I'm just can't help myself I feel so bad. Everyone back home is gonna be crackin jokes.. You think bc it's still mostly undeveloped countries that you will make a living doing something basic but then you open your shop it's popular but as soon as you start hiring you figure you can trust someone so you show them the business.. 6-9 mos you'll be open then you'll have 10 separate shops doing the EXACT SAME AS YOU! It's funny how many ways a person can learn to fail in Africa. The only way to make it work is to join a tribe or import some help from the United States. Appreciate you looking out for us, thoroughly enjoyed scam topic😌 amusingly I nearly fell for that trap days ago and my usually super careful self is shocked reflecting on how I make sure to check out profiles when being followed to block these peeps😅but this other one was different from the many I'm used to and even had videos of people testifying "this ain't a scam" but even when I suspected that as reverse psychology I still commented on a post and DM'd to see where my curiosity would lead me when it comes to these giveaways-since those were the requirements 🤡🙈snapped back to my senses when scammer sent link and told me to message some other dude plus "immediately" being the eyebrow-raising keyword and sense of urgency made me block same time cause that really gave it away that ain't no way this is real🤣🤣 apologies for ranting under your rant,just got carried away cause I related so much with conversation 😶 btw we love your wholesomely entertaining & informative rants,never stop being you cause Mzansi loves you purely for amazing self and of course your undeniable authenticity that makes you stand out compared to other CZcamsrs♥️ok I'm done now(never ranted so much in the comments🤕lol dunno if you will even read till this far anyways mega love from one of your biggest South African supporters✌🏽

    MANSA MAYNE I think I subjected before doing a video tour of table mountain on the cable car lift up the mountain just like the tourist plus a visit to Robben-island and when you get an opportunity to go back to Joberg visit the house where Nelson Mandela lived, and I don't think I need to remind you that will be something we are going to be looking forward to seeing and feel, that is just my opinion.

    About the racial thing in South Africa.. that's everyday life bro , ( for the most part ) it's the way people tense up when you enter a yt owned establishment, being dismissed and treated like an after thought, how I coup...
    1. Build up tolerance one man can't change the world , but you can try.
    2. Acceptance it is what is.. and life is funny that way...
    3. Be alert, always stay vigilant of your surroundings , be mindful of others and if you can mind your own.
    4. Always stay calm , this goes without saying and if that doesn't work.. you trusty phone could come in hand , just remember to post that shyt 🤪

    The reason behind that most is that we have understood the struggle of being a black waiter/tress now they have turned that understanding to disrespect by prioritising the other races because they more likely to complain and get them fired.

    I experienced a funniest scam attempt on Insta recently, so this person used my ex girlfriend's pictures on her profile and claim she's Lisa Williams. I just laughed from the moment I received her dm but I played along until I sent her a pic of me n her and that was the end of the conversation..

    Certain workers or managers give better attention and service to people that look monied, and in SA especially in Cape Town just being white equates to having money so there's that. Looking at CPT the place in a lot of social issues is mostly divided by race and class, in my experience class has been more of a factor, well looking like money even if you're black.
    Another thing my uncle taught me is laying formal complaints sometimes they treat us like that 'cause they know the closest thing they'll get as complaint is a public rant or a funny look basically reactions that never get to their manager that make them look bad, go through with the process black people barely address such incidents keeping quiet isn't helping us 'cause we don't deserve it let's act like it, so take note of their name and their position and put it out there that they give horrible service make it more about THAT other than racism when placing that complaint, it gets a bit tricky with local establishments though lol.
