The last scene when Ashok talks to the kid, before entering the car, Sarath's expressions are worth a billion. Carries the weight of his entire life in his eyes for those few seconds. Fantastic staging. Kudos to Vignesh for conceiving that scene and Sarath for that performance. Worth many many awards❤

    This should be a masterclass!
Can't believe the amount of work goes through for a single scene in a film.
The effectiveness of the hard work and maximising the time he spent with his cast is truly adding to the experience of the film.
What a film and what a class! Really enjoyed the combo of well made and well written film after a pretty long time!
Hope this film gets the appreciation it truly deserves.

Masterpiece of a movie. One thing I loved about the movie is, in many scenes, there is one 'unspoken' dialogue, and the direcor gives a couple of seconds pause, for the audience to say that in thier head. For e.g., in the scene where Ashok explains about the 20-30 years gap, Sarath appreciates it, but doesn't say anything. However, there is an awkward pause, when as the audience, you say 'good job' in your head😊❤❤

The interview was more like a masterclass and huge learning for all enthusiasts. Also, it shows how much hardwork, effort, time and detailing that goes into making a film to the laymen as well. Kudos to BR for bringing in Vignesh Raja and Thanks VR for explaining your work with the use of storyboards that you had made for the film. This one will always remain one of the best interviews BR ever had. congratulations to the entire team f Por Thozhil for the movie's success and reception.

It’s only fitting that Vignesh looks up to David Fincher as a filmmaker. Fincher’s filmmaking aesthetics is largely influenced by his ad (commercials) making sensibilities.

Not writing only directing but still joins in the list of greatest filmmakers on 21st century. Don't need of hans zimmer and non linear story telling to save his film. The name is David Fincher🔥🛐

This is a very interesting interview. Its always very fascinating to learn from real life experiences. IMO storyboarding is one of the key areas of pre-production to worth putting time and effort in to make the movie making process more efficient and effective. Attention to details, like decisions made for the shot sizes and colour scheme of the costumes as mentioned by BR is very intriguing. The clarity of thought and confidence of the choices made/decisions taken for the movie is very clearly visible in the director. Kudos to the ideology and efforts of the team, Por Thozhil. Why is it that we need to show the flashback to all these characters? Why the justification? Specifically Indian movies, may it be serial killer, horror or action, why can’t we just go with the flow and leave it up to the audience imagination. Guess it’s time to move away from Why, What & How templates

    4. Killer is found earlier but later we came to know they are not real killer ( killer mom/ sarathbabu)
