My oldest son gave his sister a credit card with a $5,000 credit limit when she left for college. It was so sweet of him. He paid it if she used it but of course she was very careful.
Sarah, I think it says so much about your heart how you take a moment to acknowledge those who don't have community. I was also struck to see how your husband listens so intently to what you have to say, physically dropping what he was doing. It really gave the statement a moment it deserved. Yes, ALL of the kids are hard workers (even Seth and Peace in their own way❤), but it just seems like Eli works extra hard, especially with the animals! 🙏😊
My son is a single dad and he and my 2 year old granddaughter live with me. My daughter lives in her own house, but has a lot of health problems and is unable to work, so instead, she comes here most days to help look after my granddaughter, whom she adores, and to give support to her brother. Just today, she and i have returned from a few days away with our Lily. My son had a few days to himself and we girls spent time making some wonderful memories. I'm so proud of my kids and our little family and the fact that we're doing whatever we can to lessen the impact of Lily's mum walking out on her. She knows how much she is loved by us all. Sarah, you are such a strong lady and when I'm feeling overwhelmed, I often think about you and how inspiring i find your vlogs. I hope that your trip to Kenya is amazing and helps heal your heart and body. Sending you, Solo and all the kids lots of love.
I am on vacation in the Netherlands. My oldest (34) messaged me on Mother’s Day and said he was going home to prep my garden and check on his brother31 with epilepsy and uncle with schizophrenia. That does a Mother’s heart good. 💕🇨🇦

My son was going through some serious depression, and I couldn’t get to Michigan…my daughter dropped everything and drove through the night to get to him. He’s living for God now, he is all in…and God has changed his entire life. I’ve had a miscarriage before, and I was heart-broken, my prayers for you and your family. You are such a a joy to watch. I too had country feet grew up on 10 acres & huge front yard of thick grass. My sister & I were always barefoot! We also drank from the hose! lol those were the days! btw I was born in 63 💖
Our three girls are grown now.. I use to think when will they ever grow uppppp !! But now They shop together go out to eat together Their kids spend time together and most of all They come home to visit together ! Our girls are such precious women of God, with godly husbands. They take turns cleaning my home since I am not able to do that .. We thank God for our children !

My six kids are all adults now, ages 30-44, four with children….they love each other, get together often, talk on the phone, my only daughter who is the oldest of her five brothers takes care of her single brothers inviting them to dinner on the weekends, they go on day excursions together, are the best uncles and aunt, foster relationships with their kids, and when we all get together it is soooo much fun! We are so blessed, there is nothing like it. Grateful
Having adult children that love each other is amazing . I’m truly trying to soak up each moment right now since 17 days from now the middle of our hearts our sweet Natalie Joy will marry her childhood sweetheart .Just watching Natalie and our oldest daughter Larissa , home for the summer before heading back to ORU to complete her Bachelors in International Relations is a treasure . And watching the relationship they have with our rainbow Joshua is a blessing . He will be a freshman in high school this fall. God is so faithful to show us the blessings even in the hard times . Continued prayers are going up for your family . So thankful that Judah’ Katie is able to go with you something tells me you have a wedding in your future as well.

Your children will love it too. It's called "A Lantern in her Hand" and it's the story of a family who settles in your very area arriving in a wagon train. It's a wonderful book one of my favorites. How beautiful that the older kids choose time together
I have 4 Foster Daughters as well as my biological twin daughters. They’re all within 5 years in age of each other. They all love and care for each other as if they’re blood. Every year on the 2nd week of August, they get together. Usually they find a concert or event to attend. They meet up at my house for the first day, go on their trip and depart from my house at the end of the week. As a Mom, I’m the most proud of their relationships with each other. They also group chat daily and I get texts or a call from each of them weekly. These 6 beautiful young women have 100% of my heart. ❤️

I’m sitting here folding laundry while my TV plays random videos of your channel. One of my favorites came on where you had five littles join you to help make Judah’s birthday lemon cakes. I loved the moment Hope turned her head and had eggshell in her hair! It reminded me of helping my mom bake and cook when I was little. She had six other kids who weren’t interested. When we remodeled out home we also wrote.scriptures on the wall. I love knowing our whole family participated. Be careful in Kenya. Be easy on yourself and give yourself some grace.
My older moved from the east coast to CA to live with his girlfriend (now wife) and job and my younger son (and his wife) moved out there a couple of years later. They live 20 minutes apart but are closer than ever. It makes a Momma's heart feel good. Kudos to you and Solo for taking the family overseas! I have a hard time planning a vacation with myself, husband, and my brother and his family, total of 6. Have fun and enjoy!!

I have three girls, and it's so nice just sitting back and hearing them give each other advice and parent each other. It gives me a feeling of oh good they'll be ok. A mothers job is to do it so well that she puts herself out of a job.😊
I have an amazing bond with all of my siblings and I am so grateful we are close! I'm intentional about nurturing a close, loving bond between my kids because I know it will last them a lifetime!
My 4 grown children are literally best friends. They have such an incredible relationship. Two of my daughters spend a lot of time together and actually call each other best friends. My son and oldest daughter bought houses next to each other out in the country. It makes me so happy

I LOVE the season of adult children! My daughter is in Yellowstone on a college trip, my son is meeting her in Reno to spend a few days in Tahoe! I love their bond!
It speaks volumes about what kind of people you are, to take time to welcome him home. You very easily could have skipped out to finish getting ready for your trip. And showing your children what is truly important will turn into them being the same kind of people who care about their community.

I have no words! I just love your family so very much. I have four adult children and it breaks my heart to say they just do not keep in touch with each other. Two of my boys do but as a whole they do not. My grand babies are growing up without knowing their cousins. My heart hurts over this situation.

I just wanted to say I'm really sorry that you lost the baby. I can say I know how you feel however everyone's pain is different and we deal differently with that pain. I'm a mama of 2 boys one who just turned 24, my other just turned 17. I have had 27 miscarriages and a majority of them was before having my first, and between my first and second son. I have lost a baby girl 2 minutes after birth in 2013, R.I.P. Myá and in 2021 I lost my second daughter at exactly her 3 months bday. These are some of the hardest things to ever experience or go through. I pray to any woman that has never endured that sort of pain, to never, ever, experience it.
You are a beautiful Mom and God never makes mistakes. For whatever reason he wasn't ready to allow you to borrow his child. If it's meant to happen it will. You are a wonderful family, all.of us love y'all. Love, hugs and lots of Prayers. ❤❤

Our 2 girls are 26 and 22. One married and one about to be married. Our oldest just had her first baby, making us grandparents. To say that the joy of parenthood stops when they become adults isn't always true. They love to spend time together, talk often, and try to support one another in any way they can. AND THEY LOVE when we are all together! Then you become a grandparent. A grandbaby envokes this amazing and joyful love, that is so much more because it is wrapped up in the love you feel for your child who birthed them. That is why it is so extra for grandparents. :) At least for me!!

Yes, Mama this is one of my greatest blessings! My 3 kids are all adults now, 30, 27 and 21(getting married this fall). They really are the best of friends ❤. They are there for each other and love to get together, even if Dad and I aren’t with them. It does my heart good to see them and hear them together ❤

Sarah and Solo… suggestion… have your builder make a detailed video of every inch as the last thing they do before drywall. We just had to build a house after we had a house fire. That video has been so helpful countless times as the build continues. They may already do this, but in case they don’t, we can’t believe how glad we are we did it. It has saved us many times. Have a great trip.
I have one adult child so far. She hasn't gone far from home yet, but she is working at a kid's Bible Camp. (It is 15 minutes drive away) She was winter staff this year and still lived here at home. This week she started spring team and she is living there. The thing that blesses my heart the most is how much she appreciates home now and her family. I also love that she literally chose to spend the day is her family for her 19th birthday rather then do things with friends.
Pull out the dryer and clean out the exhaust pipe to the outside of the house as well as vacuumingas Solo is doing. That is a fire Hazzard. Should be done yearly.
Prayers for safe travels and that you continue to feel better. My adult children are very close. My 27 year old son and 28 year old daughter just went to South America for 2 weeks together and they are best friends. Also that same 27 year old son hangs out a lot with his older brother who is 41!! Even with the large age gap they are great buddies!!

I am so lucky, my sisters and our parents live within a 20 minute radio's and we get together weekly. Our brother is only about 4 hours away which is also a blessing! Thank you for sharing your beautiful family with us! Safe travels to you all!

Dryer-if you use fabric softener your lint screen may be clogged. Can't see it but if you drop water on it and it doesn't go right thru it, there's build up you need to get off.
