  • Ian Stirling, one of the leaders of the Manchester United Supporters Trust, spoke to filmmaker John Gubba before today's anti-Glazer protest at Old Trafford which resulted in this evening's Manchester United v Liverpool match being postponed.
The push for a fans ownership model is tonight gathering momentum with many former players supporting the fans right to protest. Please do not underestimate the power of the people to demand our government to enforce change.

I am fully behind the campaign but let us not forget how it started: Martin Edwards made United the 1st UK PLC football club. And don't forget the threat by UEFA with their new UCL expansion rules that make it little different to the Super League in 2024.
    Great interview, thanks.

Edwards cashed in and did not consider the club’s future. It’s been a long time since we’ve had owners who really care about our club.

Agreed. But protests must be peaceful or the public support will be gone and the battle will be lost
