I love it when an entire family comes on the show and the one doing the pitch is to children. Amazing parents.
My top 3 favorite sharks in order:
1. Kevin - He knows what the main focus of business is: making money (which grows the quality of life of humans over time.) , personal freedom, and making use of the space that you take up in the world.
2. Mark - He has great knowledge of how the world works, especially in the tech world. In this video he stated that soon robots will be able to program other robots.
3. Daymond - He knows consumers extremely well and has a great common sense approach to things. This gives him an advantage in the business world and is one reason why he is so rich.

My dad owned many successful businesses. When he was in college in Illinois, he went to his bank to deposit a check. A customer ahead of him asked the bank to validate his parking. The bank refused and was extremely rude and defiant about it; the man was dressed in overalls (torn), a dirty shirt and a cowboy hat. He then said "okay, then I'd like to close my account". The teller, annoyedly asked for her manager who pulled his account up only to realize he had 21 million dollars in his account. He begged, pleaded, cried, scratched and clawed to keep the account. The farmer wouldn't have it. Lesson being, people who have true money... probably won't ever let you know about it..

Mark's prediction regarding graduates with degrees in philosophy is very intuitive. Theorizing concepts in fields such as economics, neuroscience, and business is a skill that will revolutionize the future of trading functionality. With so many professional positions facing automation, algorithms cannot cognitively fabricate principles guiding behavior. Sure algorithms can automate reasoning tasks, process data and perform calculations, but essentially, algorithms cannot think about thinking.
It’s an interesting proposition. The reality is computer science graduates are very different from coding bootcamp graduates. Theyre taught formal logic, syllogyms, reasoning etc. as well

Hard not to be successful if people ask billionaires questions either In person or social media people would rather hate on them or talk about how wealthy they are. Mark was trying to talk about how automation will be the greatest source of displacement we've ever seen and that AI and automation will replace people at an unprecedented date but he didn't really get into it. His bet about the liberal arts degree was him betting that someone in a creative endeavor will end up being more valuable than someone in a job that can and will be automated.
