Pacific, Band of Brothers and Generation Kill were all very good. I haven't seen the other 2. Go back to the late 50s - early 60s for a gem many modern audiences have never seen. It's a little tv show called Combat and it holds up pretty well even today.
I think Tour of Duty (1987) and China Beach (1988) are still enjoyable. As is Black Sheep Squadron (1976).
China Beach was a fine show. Black Sheep Squadron was fun to watch...although I kept waiting for Artemis Gordon to show, lol.
Band of Brothers remains #1, and I would put Generation War #2, and The Pacific #3, all of them superb.
You have to get informed about the Unknown soldier 5-part finnish ww2 miniseries! Super good and realistic and would be on my list for sure!
Danger UXB. It’s from the late 70s but I have memories of me and my dad watching it. It’s a great series the main character changes so much he is a completely different person by the end of the war.
I haven’t seen four and five so I can’t make an opinion but three through one are spot on!

How to watch #the pacific war
Band of Brothers excellent, likewise Pacfic is great to watch with historic and gritty detail. Generation kill was ok, but Generation War was excellent and digs deeper than just war action and entertainment, really raised some issues that many people oftens shy away from. Great choices
GK is probably the most realistic. Was made only 5 years after the invasion and many of those same soldiers acted themselves. Some acted others.
The Pacific is a little better then Band of Brothers .
Seal team, really, must be a shortage of decent war series.
