I know this comment is old as fuck, but I got the opportunity to see them live at a really small venue. They absolutely gave it all regardless of the crowd's size. I'd see these guys live again in a cocaine heartbeat.
I was there that night! I still have goosebumps whenever I think about it... It was exactly how you see and hear on the dvd. It was a superb performance.

Of all the great classic Swedish death metal bands, Dark Tranquillity and At The Gates are the only ones I haven't seen live.
Unleashed, Dismember, Grave, Entombed, Amon Amarth, In Flames, Opeth, Torture Division, Soilwork, Scar Symmetry... While Dismember, Amon Amarth and In Flames put on the most amazing live shows you could imagine (only topped by greats like Judas Priest and Slayer), I still think Dark Tranquillity could match those aforementioned.
Edit: Oh man I forgot, shoutouts to the most emotional melodeath song ever written.

Francois Lentini Classic In Flames did some really heartful songs, but I still think Misery's Crown beats them all.

i really, really wanna see these guys live. they seem like they throw the best shows ever. and many people who have seen them live agree with that statement. i hope i can go see them on the 21st next month

@@mumi29 I have even seen them twice this year in the same city (Leipzig). Second time only as support and with new lineup and not that great sound. But still, a great live band. I have seen them more than six times now I guess. I also hope to see Mikael with the Halo Effect soon, their current album is amazing.

Shit, these guys are nothing like what I've heard from the more or less "trendy" melodic death metal bands out there, the group as a whole can actually harmonize the melody and the heavy shit, and they do it fucking great! Especially the singer, he can actually sing!
