ohh no i totally agree when i was looking into these not only were most of act 3 songs from sm entertainment but their also some of the only songs from that section that didn’t get plagiarism accusations! i think it’s a mix of the fact that they do it so much, have been doing it for so long, that they often change up aspects of the song (like the next level beat drop or how mirotic’s lyrical rhythm) and that they always (or usually) clarify that they licensed the songs. only case i think right now where they didn’t license the song was for holler (snsd) and knets absolutely HOUNDED them.. so as of they do it far less frequently then before (and i’m glad you enjoyed the video the next one should hopefully be out soon)

If the industry truly doesn't practice appropriation you'd see a LOT less posturing and ignorant mimicry (mainly seen in YG artists and self-producers like young Zico + BTS members). Things are better now, but we can't ignore all the history.

i was playing superstar jypnation after i made this vide and i noticed it was the same song and i FLIPPED OUTTTT... i assume that all of the superstar games have sampled royalty-free music for their loading screen/bg music rather then creating new songs coz that'd cost a lot of money and time when the whole point of superstar is to earn money from fans !
there's a giant community on tiktok and youtube that finds samples for songs so i used many of those for reference (one acc i recommend is 90_super_tracker on tiktok which i actually found after this video but they do videos about kpop and pop) !! and because i used splice (a website that producers often use for sample packs) i went through quite a lot of packs that are commonly used in kpop (eg. Sounds of KSHMR Vol. 3) and just listened to a heap of the samples to see if i could recognise them from being in other songs

@@RhythmAddictedState i am not a producer so i’m not 100% sure but when it comes to kshmr his packs usually have 100-500 samples per (there’s 3k on his vol 3 sounds of kshmr one ☠️) and because they’re so popular they’re a go to for producers !! other then that all splice sample packs and samples have tag’s attached to them so producers can find sounds easier and kshmr has a large variety of sounds from middle-eastern to european, synths and whistles !!
