*THIS IS MY FULL OPINION* (spoilers)
I think the ship between qrow and clover should have been canon because qrow would have more character since he’s (seemed to) gotten over his drinking addiction and would romantically been a plot twist. He would’ve had something he would never want to lose (besides ruby, Weiss, Blake, and yang + jnr). Since Salem is in atlas (last episode) they could’ve had qrow more aware and give him another problem as he would worry too much about clover. (I don’t think he had enough screen time this season and they should’ve gave him more, although my opinion seems a little dumb since Salem was revealed to come last to atlas last episode, they could’ve made them canon for season 8 and give him more screen time)
Maria also didn’t have much screen time, but she has an exception this season because she’s with her friend the whole time but she should’ve had more screen time, she seems important if she has silver eyes

The script was literally written before that episode. The change from black and white to colour was added after I saw it. It'll go back to black and white when he dies.
