Beautiful as always. I think Dorothy could've gotten her 2Axel back for these early to mid 80s World Pro competitions if she had really wanted to. She was really in great athletic shape during that period and looked strong and confident in her double jumps.
Technically this program is still very difficult, especialy for pro skating at the time due to the combinations of moves. The split jump into the double flip-double toe. The two moving walliees into the double lutz. The ina bauer into the double flip into the flying camel. She got difficult that way.
I'm surprised Dorothy never went for the 2 axel in these pro competitions during the early 80s, because she was still in great condition during that period and her other doubles looked great. Janet Lynn was pulling off beautiful 2 axels when she came back to compete in the pro competitions during the same period.
I think it was more desire than ability. She was on the ice constantly as a touring skater. She HAD the ability. She also knew she'd be in competitions where judges would look the other way at her lack of content.
@@Juice_Lover123 Dorothy admitted her double axel was sketchy even as a competitor. I love everything about her and she IS an icon…but she abandoned her double axel pretty much right after winning worlds in 1976.
Dorothy has always had it all...She still does!
My favorite Dorothy's performance ever!
@ 1:55 that double Salchow is CRISP !

Dorothy beating Katarina at her own game!
Wow the announcing.
😂I laughed at consummate professional. Not that Dorothy isn’t, just wasn’t expecting those words out of…all the other words.
Technically not a 10, but great artistry and grace to say the least. Really great stuff.

I guess her days of the double axel were over by this time.
