      @@osindeodwesi9417 No that is not true. Just that my parents were.poor and would not have been able to send us to university. They had only elementary education because they had to work to support their families. In Canada I was able to obtain student loans and.also get high paying jobs to put myself through university. In Uganda I would have been lucky to complete high school in those times. All my brothers found good jobs and within a few.years we were also able to purchase a house. An impossible dream there for us!

    Amin was absolutely a good man and pan africanist. He was so sorry for the whites instructing his fellow men to build the railway without pay.       @@rnayabed I live in Uganda and know the country better, so there's nothing you can tell me about it that I don't know. Including the fact that economic independence came in 1972. I also wonder if its only Uganda that faced a slump in economic growth in the 1980s and 1990s. It isn't; funny enough, all the other countries didn't expel Asians. So the argument that expelling Asians explains the dormant economy that came later is bullshit. It's an argument only made by salty Asians on CZcams.

    Ironically, while Idi Amin lay dying in a Saudi hospital, the doctor he begged to save his life was an Indian woman whose family he had expelled from Uganda while she was a child. "Please help me. I'm a very sick man", he begged her.
    She examined him, ordered IV fluids set up for him, and chatted with him before ER doctors took over. While she did this, she told him about her Ugandan background and mentioned that he had expelled her parents from Uganda. Poetic justice!

    This was a brilliant, sophisticated move. It was orchestrated in connection with the top Indian communities. Britain had used them to build railways and serve in the British army then abandoned them in Uganda, Kenya, SA and other African countries. Idi Amin helped the asians get their citizenship of British and be taken by Britain. He forced the British to take responsibility for their citizens/workers.
