  • Tour of the elevators - one nice OTIS, one elevator without inner doors and something more...
The St. Agatha Hospital in Cologne-Niehl is a very old building. This building has been extended in the 1990's.
And there is also the administration building with a kitchen in it.
The hospital now unites several centuries of architecture and the best one is gothic revival!
The main elevators are very boring, they are from 1995. The best elevator was locked off. It has got two doors but one isn't in use.
It has been walled of. This elevator is now bed-only and staff-only. This elevator doesn't serve the floors 2 and 3 any longer.
This elevator seems to be very important in the past and now it isn't any longer.
One beautiful old elevator is now closed forever, this was very sad.
If you want to film the elevators in this hospital: Be careful! Don't let leading staff members see you filming, they don't tolerate that. They also don't give you any permission to ride the nice old locked off Flohr-OTIS elevator. Other staff is rather friendly and doesn't mind.
1995s Hopmann main generic elevators: 0:12
    1978's awesome locked off FLOHR-OTIS: 1:57
    unknown and removed elevator: 5:23
1987's lift without inner doors: 5:38
    1960's abandoned kitchen elevator: 7:51
    unbekannter, abgerissener Aufzug: 5:23
    1987'er Küchenaufzug ohne Innentür: 5:38
    1960'er Küchenaufzug, leider stillgelegt: 7:51

    No problem.
Scotch Tape also helps on very windy days. Cover the mic holes with a layer. It'll be a little muffled, but you can work in twice the winds speed.

there are photocells in the door space. When you touch them while the lift is moving, it immediately stops. Before you can start again, you first need to press the reset button.

I'm just talking about a single layer of Scotch Tape. It'll quiet things down to a degree, and you can still press the buttons.

the Hopmann-lifts have had their floor 5 locked off. The key, which fits in here is a small CES key. It is labeled as KR1 (or it could also be KR2 or KR3, I don't really remember which one of the KR's was the right one)

unfortunately these are the main buttons to operate the camera. They are rather loose, but as they are the main buttons, I can't detach them. I now started using my finger to keep it in place, but that's rather complicated. I've also made the videos abit more quiet.
The camera is of a cheap quality, sadly no chance to buy a new one very soon, so I've to arrange with my current one :/

I can try that, but the space there is very small. If the tape's thickness is too much, the buttons become unpressable. Better to use finger as I currently do and in the future, to buy a new camera.

Like the presentation, not-so-much the very annoying clicking impact sounds from whatever's attached to the camera.
As I say to Cubsrule2040, please detatch whatever is on it...PLEASE....:)

I know it'll not look good, but why not use some tape to hold them in?
The videos may come out (a lot) better.
