    Best Tutorials i found on CZcams. You have a very pleasant Voice and it's great that you explain every step in detail, even tips on how much you should thin down your paint. Helped me a lot to get into the hobby again, painting my blood bowl orcs right now after watching your video on how to paint the orc thrower, you posted a few weeks ago!

    I actually just picked up Runewars AND got into miniature painting. This probably isn't a suitable tutorial for someone's first attempt at painting but its neat to watch.

    why did you start with the cloth? would it not have been slightly easier if you started with the bones, moved up to the armour and at the end do fripperies like the cloth? in your way it seems that the painted parts are in the way of the unpainted ones

      When it comes to painting order, you have to consider not only what objects are in the way of others but also the colours that you're painting them. Generally speaking, it's easier to fix mistakes where you spilled a lighter colour onto a darker colour than it is the opposite way around.
      So in this case I decided that painting the purple cloth first, while it is 'higher' than the bone parts' would be easier to fix if I over spilled when painting the bone. If I had done it the other way around then it might have been trickier to cover up any purple that may have spilt onto the bone.

      Their mega paint set III is on Amazon for $90. That is an absolute STEAL for a limited run product.

    Nice video man.
    How high or low do you value Games Workshop miniatures' quality compared to the other companies?

      GW are easily some of highest quality plastic kits for Wargaming. Only Malifaux comes close in terms of their plastic kits. However you do pay a lot more for that quality.

      Thank you. Apart from WG my other experience in the sector were 1/72 scale soldiers. Caesars Miniatures was a good brand but the scale is so small, you cant really have that much of detail.

      William Moult I had intended to follow the main video on painting the ultramarine captain for most of the colours then just one shoulder pad painted in white.

    Are the minis plastic?

    • @PeteTheWargamer
      @PeteTheWargamer  Před 7 lety

      Yep, but not your typical hard plastic that Warlord or Games Workshop use. It's a kind of soft plastic that you often find in board game miniatures.

      FancyLlamas surprisingly good quality though. Few folks have picked the game up around my place. I've been impressed.
