Take away all the fame and noteriety and you still have a man who loves to fish. A true inspiration to both young and old.
What a great video a proper angler who really appreciates his surroundings nature and his fish a great example to us all
Exactly why we got Des on board👍
A lovely days fishing in the company of one of the best anglers of his generation. Although it’s almost 30 years since I last saw Des. ( I was managing Bishops Bowl Lakes at that time ). His story telling is still second to none and his passion and enthusiasm for the sport has never wained. Thanks to Des and Cadence for an inspiring video!
Great fishing. Good to see you using the reels as they are meant to be used. So many people don't know how to use the clutch, just allow the reel to spin backwards and try controlling it with a finger.
Well thanks a bunch Des ' the next time I'm after whiskers on the swale I'll be wondering who my old Jack Russell will be barking at .🤣🤣 What a great stamp of fish Des, if you get a few like that in the day you'll walk home with a smile on your face for sure . 👍
Bit late in the day but ive got to comment. Remembwr watching the clean river videos back in the 80's with Des fishing. He's always been an inspitation. Keeps fishing simple and enjoyable. Absolutely brilliant video and well done for putting the earlier video on in terrible conditions for barbel. Just shows that even the best struggle when the fish aren't having it. No over the top, in your face product plugging and lots of information. Well done Cadence.
Excellent film Barbel fishing master class.
I really enjoyed that, what a great vid. captured what fishing is all about for me. thanks for sharing.
Superb video. I enjoy watching anglers with natural enthusiasm for the sport. Des is great in front of the camera in my opinion 👍 cheers
He's a mix of John Wilson and Jack Hargreaves in my book. Chappy.
What a pleasant film!!
Very enjoyable watch...very nice rods 👌
Such a great love and respect for his fish, thanks Des and Cadence!
Brilliant nicely made
Great video, love the Severn, some of the most picturesque stretches in the UK imo.
Never rated you as a person until you said your never be a millionaire from fishing but your living a millionaires life style. Changed my opinion from that on comment. Keep being humble. Fair play. 👍🏻
Great video Des, Chappy on form with brilliant filming. Just got back from the Severn myself. Great river.
Would be good to see the twin tip specimen rods in action. Great video. Well done Des and Cadence.
Your wish is our command, coming soon.👍
What a stunning and amazingly informative video,, many thanks 🎣🎣👍👍
Great attitude to the sport!
Superb video guys.
Well done des awesome 👏 video
Fantastic video, fantastic angler, fantastic rods and a fantastic company. Will at some stage this year be purchasing two of these rods, my only wish is that they were actually called Cadence “Des Taylor” rods. A bit like the John Wilson rods, it’s always such a nice thing to have a rod named after a true master
Nice bloke and fantastic rods
Great vid that pal. 👍👍
Big snag running through that swim now Des, Can't get to the back bank. Fished it Sunday. Hard going
I'm lucky enough to live along the Ironbridge stretch, some really nice water. Like you said "I'll never be a millionaire" 🎣
Absolutely awesome video I'm very new to barbel fishing.
Would u still feed the same way all Yr round des. Or cut back only being barbel fishing few times need as much help as possible haha
Caught 7 Barbel today using the CS10 5000 reel...I wont be putting my korum baitrunner reel back on . Great reel the CS10 5000 i brought 2 off the Cadence Stall at the evesham festival im very impressed with these reels.
Brilliant 👍
Good show as always des but we can't do it like that on the swale we've got to put hours in to catch 1 fish lots of blanks mind you it was hard on the severn last Sept tight lines anyway keep it up des
Cracking video from a top angler might have to invest in a pair of those barbel rods for the wye/taff
You only live once Fish Face😆
Great vid mate I'm from Nottingham fished a lot of the trent but it's vast water bigger fish tho would love to fish the Severn any recommendations chap
love it
Beautiful
Lovely video what tripod do you use Des thanks
Great video. Could anyone help me with some location on the severn where to fish and where to buy the ticket for it??
Hi Des, what rodpod do you use? Your information will help me a lot. Thanks.
Korum 2rod standard
@@CadenceFishingUK thanks
Whats the rod used that he mentions he likes ? Woukd be good to know make and model etc
I joined Burton mutual this year to fish the Trent hoping for some Barbel and Chub fishing , big mistake Barbel and Chub of any size very rare in the stretches owned by this club .
Hi David I joined this year also
Which stretches have you tried
Heard there are plenty if otters on some sections they don’t like pellets though
How many fish are in that river struggle to catch a barbel my way.
Best pegs produce the best fish.
This is closer to Bridgnorth than coalport .
I don’t think a 1.75 lb rod would be strong for casting a 3oz led to the far bank on the river Thames, you need a carp rod with big guides to hit 60 + yards with 12lb mainline.
Great NOT to have drum n base playing in the background! Great angling
Very boring film.
I was looking foreard to seeing this.
All it was, was a cadence plug
A Des Taylor plug
Continuos fish playing and not a very good learning curve.
Could have been much better
Hi David thanks for the comments. Could you kindly suggest how we can improve and maybe also how to be less 'very boring' as you put it? We are always open to constructive criticism. Maybe Des could dress up as a leopard or wear a Mexican wrestler's mask, am sure that would be highly entertaining! Yes of course it's a 'plug' for a Cadence product designed by Des, not quite sure what else you expected by tuning in to this particular channel to be fair? We believe that our videos are bursting with useful information (and are pleasing to watch) which clearly many anglers find of great benefit to their own fishing. Editing nine fish into forty minutes as well as including plenty of 'how to' info' was well achieved in my humble opinion. There are plenty of ways of catching barbel, this was focussed on Des's standard approach on the Severn, so am not sure how it could have included much else? Could you maybe suggest what kind of additional details you are seeking, and next time we are out with Des we can get him to focus on them for you? Cheers. (Chappy)
@@CadenceFishingUK a great response to a bizarre comment. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Beautifully filmed as usual and very informative. Thanks.
Empty. Vessels Neil 🙄🤭
@@CadenceFishingUK best response I have seen from anything for years, personally I would like Des to somersault whilst playing an 8lb plus barbel dressed wearing an inflatable barbel costume!!
Des is a legend, the seven has been tough this year, really great video!!
@@sgtv9850 cheers mate👍🤭
