    I really hope someday rabbits stop getting the "exotic" label and more clinics start accepting them; they're such common pets but it's SO HARD to get a vet to see them! and man, when a bunny needs to see a vet, they need to see a vet RIGHT hecking then. It's scary being a new bun owner! I really appreciate the useful rabbit care tips, even more so because I know that I might have to be their first line of defense in an emergency.

    Thank you so much! I know that (fully) bathing rabbits is usually very much discouraged due to them being so sensitive and also, if healthy, very much self cleaning, but learning this, and your additional advice around trimming, is very helpful.
    I know your channel will probably take a hit because this is not a cat video, but just know that SO many of us are still grateful!
    Greetings to all of you from my two freeroam bunners and me.

      Question for you Pru-Pruh...
      your bunners (too cute) are not in cages right? Does free roamer mean they run freely around your house?? If so...can rabbits be trained to use a litter box?

    • @Finkeldinken
      @Finkeldinken Před rokem +10

      @@joannaedwards6325 yes! The vast majority of them are pretty easily litter trained, when neutered, which is very important. A few of them will have issues, but it is usually trainable even for them.
      And yes, mine are freeroam in my whole appartment. They sleep under my bed at night, and hang out with me around the appartment by day.
      They have water bowls and litter boxes upstairs and downstairs.
      They are fun, but it should be noticed that they are a high maintenance and pretty expensive pet if kept best possible. They need vets trained in exotics, so the right vet can be hard to come by and more expensive than a regular cat/dog vet.
      They can also be as destructive as a six month puppy, but that is very different from bun to bun.
      But they are amazingly fun, just in another way than a cat.

      I have 3 bunnies and they're not in a cage but an x-pen (well 2, I have the boys together and the girl separate). While cats like to scratch, bunnies like to chew, so you have to make sure every little thing can't be chewed, including cords. They can definitely make a lot of mess but they're great and sweet pets.

    Excuse me? I thought you not supposed to bathe a bunny ever , in fact they can get hypothermia . GI issues and gastric stasis and bloating is more of an issue and can kill the bunny early…brushing their fur so they digest less hair but bathing is an absolute no no especially in the United States. Bathing is also extremely stressful for the bunny . Never pick a bunny up without supporting their feet or bottom. Rabbits are only picked picked up by predators so holding them like his is presenting mortal danger to them.
