- Picnic with Mom on Red Oak Mountain:
I had planned a birthday party for my mom but she ended up having to be in the hospital that weekend. With mom’s health declining it was hard to plan another date to invite people to a party not knowing how she would feel that day. I decided to get together a picnic and take her to what I call Rad Oak Mountain. I’m not sure if it is really even called Red Oak Mountain but because they are a one room church called Red Oak Baptist Church there I have just always called it Red Oak Mountain. Come along with just me mom and her dog Judy for a beautiful afternoon on Red Oak Mountain.

What a nice day for a picnic in the mountains with your mother...she's a sweet soul and you're a wonderful son. The church is beautiful and very well kept. HAPPY BIRTHDAY To your mom wish her many many more great video would give the world to do the same with my mom but lost her in 1963 but she's still in my heart and mind as vivid as yesterday a mother's love is never ending Thank God for mom's and Dad's lost him in 1966 I think it just broke his heart when mom passed enjoyed the video.

Happy Birthday to your Mom! Those big subs reminded me of my mother. She used to call them "Dagwood Sandwiches." Mama is gone but, my aunt, her older sister is still with us and will be 95 on November 25th. We all grew up in the Cumberland Foothills of Cannon County, Tenn. Judy is a cutie!

I'm a little younger but my grandma is 82 going to be 83 in she reminds me of your mom they're both in better shape than I am at 40. You're living a great life in a great place my friend. Love it. I grew up in Va. our county was Campbell, County, we had a Red Oak Mt etc. I grew up in the foothills of Blue Ridge Mts. I left there for a job in Texas. Been here ever since. Will never stop yearning for my Mts.

That was the best birthday picnic ever! Sure made me miss my mother and grandmother. They passed within fourteen months of each other….mother was only 60 but….they’re home now! You’ve been blessed and it’s obvious you recognize that. Thanks for your hard work. I sure enjoyed this one John! 💋✝️🕊

That was so sweet you taking your Mom, up there. Years ago that was a school and was used as a church also. My Mom, was a school teacher there for a while. Back in the day many years ago there were many large white pine trees up there. Timber companies cut them long ago. Most people don't know it now but there was a large community of people that lived in that area.❤❤❤👍

Red Oak, Caryville Mountain is where my papaw Ward was raised my gr.Grandfather was Finley Ward, gr.gr.grandfather was Duke ( Old Dukey ) Ward he use to deliver mail all across that mountain we are distant cousins John, It’s was so sweet of you to take your Mother to the old Red Oak Church she’s a precious lady ❤❤❤

Thank God that you still have your Mom in your life. This was a great outing with her and it was a beautiful sunny day. I am sure she enjoyed it and so did her dog.
