Space Engineers is a sandbox game about engineering, construction, exploration and survival in space and on planets. Players build space ships, space stations, planetary outposts of various sizes and uses, pilot ships and travel through space to explore planets and gather resources to survive.

This is much better. Shorter episodes, with clear goals in mind. The longer, wandering, space engineers episodes made me too sleepy, but perhaps that's just me.

Lothian is the name of the county/region in which Edinburgh, Scotland resides. So, Ward of Lothian would literally mean "guard of Lothian." Whoever named those ships likely had the fiercely independent Scots in mind when they created and named it. Some think that Lothian is an etymological reference to Ludus, which was the name of the Roman fort which stood as an outpost in that land. The guard bit seems to make sense then.

I think you have it backwards. Yes to ward means to guard, but someone's ward was a person under their protection. It is the difference between a verb and a noun.
Historically a ward of a castle was an orphan (or nephew of the lord, etc) that was looked after/protected by the castle despite not being a direct child.
So Ward of Lothian would probably translate to (Protected) Child of Lothian.

No, its recorded in 1080 and has 1080 as a playback option. I will check game settings next time and see if there is anything I can do to improve the quality
