  • ☕ If you're like me and can't hit the trail without a great cup of coffee, then you know how important your brewing method is. In this video, I’m comparing the AeroPress and JetBoil Press to see which one makes the best coffee on the go. I’ll break down the pros and cons of each and let you know which one I prefer and why.

Great review! The only thing I need to add is that you don't want to light the Flash with the cup attached. The reason being is that you could trap the gas and that could be troublesome to your burner. I will definitely "like" and help get your videos out there. Coffee is a necessity!!!

Great tip! I've definitely noticed a mini fire ball type of thing at times. My ignitor gave up on me anyway. I have to make sure and carry flame now until I replace it. Thanks for watching.

The Jet Boil looks to be much more user friendly. I enjoy a cup of Cafe Bustelo.

Stumbled across your video looking at Jetboil. I'm an Aeropress person and looking for a better way to boil water than a pot on a windy day. I've used both French press and Aeropress and as you allude the coffee from both methods is great. To me, Aeropress wins hands down on the cleanup side. Getting ALL the grainy soggy grounds out of the French press pot is tedious and uses lots of water. The Aeropress forms a fairly dry grounds "puck" with the filter, so I remove the screen leaving the filter, push the plunger ejecting the puck into my disposal, then do a quick rinse of the bottom of the plunger and I'm ready for my next cup or stowing for the next use.
The Aeropress does need the filter paper which the press doesn't, and the press makes more than one cup at a time. So there are pros and cons like always.
It does look like the Jetboil is the way to go to boil water, although I don't like having yet another fuel (propane for the fridge, butane for cooking, and this jetboil concoction for water) for my mostly trailer camping environment. Always learning tho'
    Thanks again!!

I love the Aeropress but needing that paper filter really sucks. I understand why but for a backpacker, forgetting the filter could be the difference between having coffee and death (well, not having coffee....which is similar to death 🤷🏻‍♂️). Thanks for watching and commenting Stephen.

Thank u for ur honest opinion. I’ve been reviewing the AERO PRESS n the GO Model n haven’t bit the bullet. Camping I use either a percolator or a sock filter for coffee. I agree with ur opinion which is why I’m going to stick with my methods…for now. Thanks again for sharing.

I’d stick with the Jetboil French press. Faster and less clean up compared to the Aeropress.

Have you ever tried Cafe 1820 Molido Clasico. I am a big coffee drinker and my friend put me onto this dark roast coffee and I have never switched back to any other coffee. I don't have a coffee grinder so I don't get the whole bean but it still is an amazing cup. It's about 13$ for half a kilo on Amazon. It also tastes really good using the jetboil press in my MiniMo.
Thanks for the video. Always good stuff 👍

I’m a big coffee drinker and I definitely impressed with your honesty. And I will say my back up back up back up instant coffee black rifle and I usually go 1 1/2 time water over there small package. But when all else fails I have a bag of that in my bag at all times.

Just put coffee in loose-leaf teabags. Tastes as good as any french press or pour-over, no extra equipment, and no grounds to clean up, just bury the bags with your morning poo, they are biodegradable. Premeasure one tea bag per cup so no need to bring a tablespoon measuring cup either.

Bloom is the release of carbon dioxide from the grounds. That brew looks weak for a dark roast. I really enjoy my aeropress over French press. Clean up is easier. IMO.

Jet boil is the go given the hassle of the Aero press.. Keep it simple..

I'd agree the Jetboil is simpler but the Aeropress can produce some great coffee when things go right. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Koffee Kult - This may very well be the best coffee I've ever had. Its a great value and incredibly smooth especially if you prepare it pour over style. However, really good with just a standard drip coffee maker as well. Heres a link to check it out. amzn.to/3OCmzuL. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Never use volumetric measurements weigh it at home so you get the correct ratio all the time every time

I'd agree you can't get any better than pre-measured amounts. Thanks for the input and I appreciate you watching.
