@AdamLambert always stood out for me not only as a highly skilled tenor vocalist who can sing practically anything but also as a brilliant performer, music 'Jedi', who mastered his mind and craft and to the last detail.
He's has a great deal of deliberate focus and I learn a lot every time I watch him sing!

SOAKED is the most beautiful song ever written about a drunken one night stand. Glam Nation was a spectacle. No wonder every show was sold out, all over the world.

This is a song written by the group MUSE; they gave it to Adam and produced it on his first album. They also recorded it as a rock song. THE CRAZY, CRAZY thing is I asked an Opera teacher to comment on it after Adam's Nessun Dorma performance b/c SOAKED is the only song Adam has ever recorded in this overt manner. He said he would describe it as "baroque" or "light opera".
This performance is just as stunning now as it was when he first performed it. His voice and stage presence are mesmerizing. Thanks for the reaction.

Haven't watched this for a long time, still get goosebumps listening. The observations on stagecraft were very interesting! I never really thought about the difficulties involved in maintaining the correct pitch after the extended pause for crowd cheering, whilst obviously remaining alert to reactions to gauge when to actually continue. Focusing through noise + mental distraction.
I fell in love with this song. Brings up emotions and touches my heart. Adam is perfection with this performance. Our souls will be ok. Perfection. 🤗🙏

This song was from his debut CD "For Your Entertainment", reminds me of a 50s torch song. It was given to him to record by British Rock band Muse.
Adam sang 'Starlight' by Muse during the Glam NATION Live tour, they gave him 'Soaked' as a thank you for introducing the band to the US of A

i believe Ryan Tedder gave him that song to produce for his first album "For Your Entertainment" which he is performing live here in Indianapolis. Adam Lambert's voice is superb with that fast vibrato in this song. The mid-song he stops only for the applause and then it goes on, don't stop it!!!
