- The Walrus family band is back to showcase the 385 Overdrive MKII. Inspired by the rich tones of the Bell and Howell Filmosound 385 projector, the reimagined 385 MKII Overdrive offers a dynamic, responsive, tube-like drive with simple but effective controls. The MKII adds an A/B switch to toggle between two sets of volume and gain knobs that can be used like a preset to change volume and/or gain for specific parts, as well as a 385+ switch that slams the front end of the circuit for added high-gain saturation. And yes, the dynamics of the 385 sound great on bass too.

THAT BASS RUN AT 2:11!
I love that you guys called this the MKii because I modded my own 385 years ago and called it the V2. I moved the jacks to the top and put in a soft switch. 🤣.
Your A/B switching idea is the chefs kiss! The 385 is amazing at low and high gain settings. My hats off to you. 🥳
Wow. That slide tone is better than Josh's AND Rhett's.
Got the original and love it, one of my favorite ODs and so unique sounding. Can't wait to get this one too! Having you guys local is even more awesome 🙂
Incredible tone! Perfect slide playing/everything, love it! ❤️🙏☮️
Thank you kindly!
What a killer tune. Very along the lines of the Bros Landreth… those two guitars are pretty killer as well. Always so refreshing when gear demos are in an actual musical context and not just blues noodling.
Glad to see someone else put a P-90 in a strat, lol. Cool pedal.
I do foresee a lot of Nashville Broadway guys picking this one up for their boards.
SOLD!
"TAYLOR
Jazzmaster"
Come on!
we all know that`s a Jaguar
potato/potato. But yeah, its a 63' Jag!
when i play jazz on it, it’s a jazzmaster
well, more like a jazz-mediocre

@@walrusaudioeffects potato/potato????What!? My inner offset nerd goes through the roof with rage and anger!
But yeah nice little overdrive pedal you got there - the market needed one more 😜
could sure use one of these for Joyous Riot
I would like to know the model of the Silvertone head behind the drummer, and how it's used.
Where’s the canvas interface I keep begging you folks to make 😂
I am so confused... which design should I buy???????????
P r o m o S M 😪
Wait... is this some kind of country music pedal. Will this make me sound like country music?!... cuz I do NOT want that.
If you play it different than they did, then it will sound different than they did.
@@walrusaudioeffects 🤣
Tone is in the fingers or something idk I'm here to steal riffs
Should have written this in the sarcasm font. Just making an obvious joke.
@@mattvangundy6701 we smell what you're steppin in. 😆
