I adopted a lurcher mix here in the USA and she is an absolutely amazing dog. She is always by my side and is perfectly calm at home but that goes out the window as soon as we get to the dog park. I really couldn't think of a more balanced breed.

I live in a flat so, from what I’ve read, a lurcher might be one of the best types of dogs for me and I’m going to get one as soon as I can

I have a greyhound which obviously share many traits and they're perfect for apartment life - they just love to snuggle up and sleep once they're home. She needs 2 long(ish) walks & a couple of shorter walks a day since we don't have a garden but this is so easy to handle. I say DO IT!
