- Lisa Gade reviews the Nixplay Edge WiFi Cloud Frame. Unlike many photo frames on the market, it has a superb IPS display and easy to use controls. Since it’s a Cloud Frame, you can change its settings and send playlists to it using your web browser and online photo sharing accounts like Flickr, Instagram, Google Photos and FaceBook. There’s a remote and an easy to user interface on the frame itself as well. The Edge is available in an 8” 720p size for $129 and our 13” 1920 x 1080 model for $249. It has a vivid and bright matte IPS display that will make even picky photographers happy. It has a speaker and headphone jack and it can play H.264 videos, should you wish to use it as a portable video player.
I like the accessory reviews. They're a good change of pace.
This was a nice change in pace, usually you just review tablets, laptops, and phones.
As always, great review, Lisa. :)
I still have my Sony photo frame. Love it.
We got one for our parents and it's a snap to send photos.
It will be interesting when/if E-ink gets to comparable color renditions to most photos. I would love to have 4' x 3' sized changeable picture frame.
Thank you for this review!
Kodak had a wifi photo frame couple of years a go with wifi, and the service which was linked to wifi got closed down. This one follows similar concept but good part it connects to cloud services.
Holy moly that's a big screen, as big as my laptop's screen lol.
3:48 The first 1,000 customers get a frame which includes a complimentary picture of a gorilla's crotch
Great review, is there a way to mount this on a wall ? Thanks
Please review the new HP x360 and please do another video smackdown between the dell xps 13 (older version) vs HP x360
Thanks
So you can’t hang it like a normal picture gram??
Does it have to be plugged in 24/7 or will it work without being plugged in?
Lol you can have a nice 12inch tablet for that price with a much better screen and an option to use it like a tablet. I mean, something like an old Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 etc
Can we use as wall clock? Does it have clock 24 hr on on background

Do you need to be tech savy to use it? My grandparents are on their 80s so they don't know how to use the menu.

What should I get after a macbook pro? I'm stuck!
+Truthseeker wait for the new MacBooks pro's in 2016, they're getting re-disigned.
Gromit!
How about 150$ for a monitor, maybe a 22" and 35$ for a Raspberry Pi 3? Sounds much better!
Not everybody is tech savvy you know! plus 150 usd monitor out there are ugly a.f. You buy a tablet! and handmade a base hahaha
Well RPi and other single board computers have made the whole thing very easy, even non tech people can easily use them and make something with them. About 150$ monitor there are a lot of varieties out there, to me Asus MX and VX series is okay, but look is a relative thing.
Can't you use a tablet for this?
+David Deblaere But you could only use a tablet as a photo frame when you're not actually using the tablet. A dedicated photo frame doesn't need to do anything else.
It’s expensive still it’s not full hd instead of this you can spend that money on iPad that’s have Retina display play in tha photo slide show you can use that as a photo frame
4k display not hd it's 2016
