35:06 there was a deleted scene they first showed earth in the beginning where it was everyone was living in cities under severe pollution. It even showed jake watching a news on tv mentioning tigers already became extinct for quite a while and people had managed to clone the first tiger back from extinction. It really goes to show how bad the while earth’s environment is suffering in the movie. It also showed jake’s life living on earth , he pretty much had a shitty life while living there before heading to pandora.
Really wish that was in the theatrical cut, feel like it’s really important to see

The earth scenes does also give a foreshadow of the minerals from pandora a little later in the movie because the deleted scene explored the result of importing the mineral and how it is being used in daily life on earth
They also cut a scene of Grace and Jake talking about Neytiri's sister and a part of the scene of him and Neytiri at the tree of souls. Really wished they kept these scenes in cause it added more to the movie/story overall
Is is just me but is dude on the far right implying that people who commited or attempt to commit MASS genocide of a native culture/people on THEIR OWN LAND as "gangster"? I know it's a movie about blue aliens but still the underlying point of this film and many films like this are right in your face from the start
Little background on the characters. Grace taught the Omatikaya clan (Neytiris clan) English, amongst her students were Neytiri and her older sister Sylwanin. Sylwanin was originally betrothed and in love with Tsu’tey, but after a tragedy between the RDA and the students Sylwanin died. This resulted in Grace’s school being shut down and exiled from the clan. That was 2 years before Jake arrived. In the extended film you get too see the old school house.
Rob repeating the phrase over and over is implying that he's ok with the plundering the natives (blue people). Rob needs to go read and learn his ancestors history

I think you guys will love the second movie. Story wise, I felt like it was much stronger than the first. Cameron said that so much effort was put into the first movie just figuring out how to make it. The second time around they knew the process going in, so they could focus on other aspects.

it’s basically the same premise of the humans coming in trying to kill the natives and colonize the land. it even rehashed the same main villain, like come on 😅
He’s def one of those people who will try and say something hella controversial for the soul purpose of angering the people with common sense. His rebuttal would be something along the lines of “this is a movie. I never said I think colonization was a good thing.”

Seeing this in IMAX 3d back then was incredible. When the new one came out I went in imax 3D again but took at edible before hand. The edible kicked in right as the movie started and man what an experience.

The movie is fine. Not that special tho. I can't fully recapture the feeling of the first movie. But it still enjoyable. The animation was fire. But I'm kinda tired about family narrated movie. I don't say it's a bad thing. It's just a bit overused this day. Overall it's a good movie.
