Check out this lawnmower here;

That little thing is impressive. How long does a fully charged battery last. Also how much $ does it cost.
Great VIDEO ..D.B....THE COLORS.would match the PORTER CABLE BRAND..NICELY 😮
@@aarongrabowski3775 the battery lasts approx. 1 1/2 hours
If I had this as a kid and when my father asked me to "go cut the grass" , we would have had the nicest grass on my block !! Nice review Don 👌
Can't believe I watched a whole video of someone besides me mowing. I want one!
Just looked this mower up. $4,000.00 here in US. As long as I'd have to be outside running it; I think I'd rather just use my lawn tractor. Still, it is an impressive machine.
Might still be able to operate it from the pool... Put cupholders on it and y'er good ! 😁👍
Agreed. For that price, o would expect a remote viewing option with cameras so it could be controlled from indoors.
@@Isaacmantx They put what looks like a GoPro on it. Don't they have wifi viewing on GoPros? I'm sure there's one brand or another that has it. If you get two of them, invite your neighbor over for a lawn mowing race from inside the house! (he has to bring the beer!)
They don't want to sell them too bad at that price. It is for the folks who have to have the latest lawn toy. I'd rather buy a used standup zero turn with that kind of muhlah.
@@phordguy Absolutely agree!!
Anyone who is old enough to remember the movie, Honey I Shrunk The Kids, will clearly remember the remote controlled lawn mower in that movie. With all the robotic autonomous mowers on the market, I never thought that I'd see the day when a professionally made remote controlled mower would be on the market. This thing is really cool, I love its durable build construction, its cute looking, seems to do a good job cutting, (operator skill dependent of course) and the battery seems to last on it from what I'm seeing here. If you have a small yard, this would get it done in 1-hour. Nice safety features too.
Awesome been cutting grass for 55 years now i want a remote control lawnmower.
Hello Don, I'm so happy to hear that this is worth the money!!!! It will mean alot for disabled folks. No more gasoline worries. I'm very interested in a good remote snow blower for my carport next xmas. Mabe even my sidewalk???❤ thankyou.
You opened up eyes with what you said. People with challenges will be well served with this.😊❤
Exactly what I was thinking.
The price is about on par with a riding gas powered mower. No belts to deal with. No tuneup issues, no gasoline spoilage hassles and it requires less storage space. This could easily tow a fertilizer rig or small trailer.
Getting contact with the rock needlesly damaged the paint on the deck. The addition of replacable plastic or rubber strips along the sides of the deck would eliminate scratching or otherwise marring the painted surfaces.
A good feature of the mower low riding height would be the advantage of mowing under things such as the trampoline. Thanks for sharing. Best to you and yours.c
Like the idea but at $3000 - $4000 USD that’s about $4000-$5500 Canadian I’ll wait till price comes down
Waaaaaay too much money
I think you be waiting for a loooong time to drop the price. 😁
Yep. At those prices it should be programmable, too.
Needs a on board camera so you can see where it’s going. Otherwise it will miss some areas, unless you follow after it. $$$$$$
I wish that I could find a gas mower built of metal like this. The ones for sale these days are stamped or plastic crap.
Well Don, I guess this is cool for someone that likes R/C toys!!!! but for the price,, a zero turn is more capable!!!
But if you were unable due to injury and in a wheelchair and to maintain the lawn yourself then this maybe the answer.
@@jaimesfrasier5168that’s the only reason I can see for having this.
Why take up all your garage space with a huge zero turn?
Wow! Perfect if you want to stay aware from a nasty ground-nesting wasp nest! And it does handle tall grass and weeds. I can see why you’d want to prop open the grass catcher door so it could spit out large amounts of clippings. Nice machine…strong!!!
Neighbor just bought one. It looks incredibly sturdy and fun.
It's interesting for sure and would cut out a lot of work and sweat but it seems to struggle a bit at keeping a straight line. Seems to get bumped out of line pretty easy or maybe the left/right controls are very touchy, not sure but it might be a bit of a problem for someone that's picky about cutting straight lines. I like straight lines but if I don't have to walk it I could get used to less than perfectly straight lines. I feel like the way you have to physically walk up to it, lift the lid, turn it off and turn it back on is a bit excessive if it bumps into something, I would think that they'd also include a way to restart it by remote control at the operators discretion. And not including a chute that directs the cut grass to the side is strange but I guess if you're not walking behind it that it doesn't really matter, maybe it's best that it doesn't direct it to the side that way it's not trying to cut uncut grass while also re-cutting grass that's already been cut. I feel like these complaints are pretty minor considering. I'd like to have one for sure because I'm getting older and my knees and legs definitely aren't what they used to be.
i'll wait for the Snowrator 🤗
There ya go ! 😉
That would be awesome !!
That already exists It's called the Yarbo!
Mine came in today. I am debating on selling it or using it.
Looks like it needs some side bumpers and some knobier tires.
That’s what I need for my hillside. Thanks
Good luck affording on~! Awesome machine but running about 1K over reality price. Thanks for posting my dude you did a solid job!
There is definitely a use for that on areas that are sloping, uneven or treacherous. Using a ride on in areas like that can be dicing with death. This is a great alternative.
That is so stinkin cute! You need to give him a name like Nipper
I'd be worried that I couldn't sit at a distance and keep a straight line going across the yard. If you have to walk behind it, what's the benefit? Dangerous slopes I guess.
An 18AH battery should be good for much longer than an hour.
I think I have to agree with the commenter who said that if he had to be outside anyway, might as well use a (much cheaper) conventional mower. If it had an FPV camera system like a drone, it would be more useful.
However, I DO see a use for it. I have several large trees with branches that go to the ground. A bunch of bushes too. I can't get under them with a riding mower. I have to use a push mower, and it's quite a bit of work. This would take MUCH less effort.
I have too much yard for this thing to do my whole yard, so I can't see replacing my ZTR with it. Plus, if it's only as fast as a push mower, it would take WAY too long to mow my yard with it.
Interesting technology. I have a drone that I love. Drones have some technology that would benefit this thing. GPS, course correction, etc. With my drone, I can point it in a particular direction, move forward, and the drone will keep itself pointed where you want it, and it will course correct for wind. And it has an FPV camera.
Pretty cool machine. Fairly expensive at ~$4k CDN but it does hills, and you could drive it under the trampoline as well. Pretty cool but I'm going to nurse my 1986 John Deere 165 tractor for now. Thanks Don! Great real-world review.
That thing is a beast really impressive !!!
The steering looks a bit jittery and the acceleration seems high. Do you know if the control is proportional or just on/ off?
This will be hard on the tire treads
Wow that's amazing sir and to have the battery last that long is great
If I'm that lazy I can hire some one to do the mowing for quite a few years for $4,000
The entertainment value alone is worth a good bit of the price. All you would need is a cold beverage and lawn chairs and your buddies will be fighting to mow your lawn.
😂
Pretty cool machine👍
I sent it to my Facebook and I send it to my messenger I like remote control cars and stuff like that I thought it was pretty neat awesome video thank you for the video
How long did it take to recharge after that mow?
Video idea, I working on a craftsman PYT9000 and the transaxle is leaking and needs oil but as you know it’s not really accessible. I’ve watched videos of other models but this one is a bit different taking off the back plate will be a challenge. And I cannot find any information on what oil it uses, the owners manual doesn’t say anything. Thank for your time and your videos!
The only thing I see that I dislike is the way it throwers the grass out the back, it looks like it pils it up in the back. Instead of blowing it out to the side.
what is the range for the remote control
The battery light is reminiscent of the Xbox 360 lights both on the controller and the machine. Also, you said that there should be a side discharge but this thing uses a deck setup similar to a Honda mower, specifically the HRR or HRN machines where the rear flap is also the discharge chute.
Interesting, but I don’t see a market for it.
This sort of thing would make mowing around my beehives way less painful.
All this stuff is so cool and seems to work well. They're all just too expensive still........maybe someday they'll be affordable.
How much(if one is available)is the replacement battery when you need one in a few years because the original battery will no longer take a full charge? A guy I know of just spent $1700.00 on a new lithium ion battery for his rider. For what he has spent total on that mower he could have had a lawn service cut his grass and been money ahead!
Can you get a mulching blade for it ?
Excellent review Dony!!
I might mount a POV camera on mine
You can see a few shots of it in video with my gopro
NICE! It's very tempting, but... still a bit too pricey.
I THINK ID STICK WITH THE PETROL MOWER
It seems kind of like a toy but may be useful if you had steep terrain that was hard to walk on. More aggressive tread on the tires might help with traction. It’d also be neat if the company integrated a drone to operate in secluded areas or even add auto mow by arial sensing to supplement onboard sensing.
Hows it cut about knee high grass
It's kind of need to cut the grass with that never thought I would like anything electric but I'm kind of impressed
How does it do on slopes or inclines like the ditches that most Canadian home have ?
awesome!
Well, you have sold me on it. No more push mowers or ride on for me let it do all the hard work
Put a GPS Auto-Steer (Like farmers use on their tractors) on it and go have that adult beverage right now, 🤣 🙂 🤓 🤠
Limited use, unless fitted with robotic function.
Cool product.. Pity it doesn't mulch. Great video Dony
it does mulching - mulching bagging and side discharge. I love mine.
Interesting, but for the price you can buy a fully autonomous robotic mower.
Nice review!
I would guess that C1 and C2 are two different heights of cut.
Cool
Pretty awesome.
Off hand remark - where's the solar array for charging 🤔 ?
Then off to the gym for some exercise.
FPV mowing the way forward
Nice machine for small yards.😊very impressive.
6:52 and I thought my grass was long.
What is the price?
I don't know, Don ? 🤔 Looks to slow to outrun a Rabbit or a Skwerl... I mean, where's the fun in that ??? 🤷🏼♂️ Honestly, other than that I thought the Cat would love it... 😸
I bet a lot of kids would come out and mow the lawn if they had this to use! LOL!
How much is one of these
Come with a case of beer?
Be good for mowing under trees.
Love the thing just not the price.
Where can I buy one and what is the cost?
Web site says $3000 or $4000 USD!
5500 cdn? Seems to me a robot would make more since. If I have to sit on porch and control it I might as well be sitting on my rider. Mind you porch is smoother ride lol.
Nice toy. But I will wait till it come down in price.
Have seen this one guy have this, for commercial mowing. I don't know is the same brand but it seems to me is bigger that yours and it is in yellow color. Any way pretty expensive toy to have.
Definitely novel and looks like fun but for $4k it would have to do the dishes the laundry and clean the house before I would buy it.
there's a vid where some kids rig a rider with remote controls , hide in their house , and prank people passing by . i'm thinking this thing has potential . just needs handlebars and a lightweight dummy to drag around .
If it had a gas motor I would be interested but I’m not spending that kind of money on a battery that’s got to be replaced in 24 months I can’t see how that makes sense to people it looks well built but the battery pack scares me
I'll do a follow-up video on it next year to see how battery is lasting.
There's a remote controlled gas mower in my bosses garage.
Nice, but I currently own a car that cost than that mower.
Cool. Remember when Jerry Lewis was running from the automatic mowers. 😅
that would be the perfect mower for a lazy son to use when his mother asks him to cut the grass.
It's a benefit to us North Americans who are getting fater and fater. No we can just sit on the deck and avoid excercise all together.
Bonjour, je suis intéressé par la tondeuse , j'aimerais une vidéo et un bon de commande en Français
Bonjour Jean, j'ai mis la link dans la description du video.
Website says 2.5 hours
The Tesla of mowers starting at only $3999 (4wd model)! I wonder if it’s faster than a small child…
If it was gas powered I would be interested
I think they invented these for ditches and steep inclines. Places where you just cant get a normal mower cause it's just too dangerous.
Until this takes a shit and you have zero local dealer support, and you have to fix it yourself lol, no thanks.
As an almost old fart, I know this buggy has peaked some interest in sparing our sorry bones.
I think you must have been told not to say the price?
Probably would get pulled over for Drunk Driving 😂🎉
This would be way to must fun
I have an older style remote control mower. The controller is a four foot long metal bar. It only has smart mode. Dumb mode is too dangerous.
Sorry, I can only view this as a novelty. I really have to wonder who this is for. Gamers? Invalids? Extremely lazy people? Regardless, I think the target market would be very small. When I saw the thumbnail, I figured it was autonomous .... which would have actually been very cool and was hoping for improvements over the versions I've seen in the past. But to sit there and gameboy/babysit the thing for over an hour would get old pretty quick after the novelty wears off. Especially at that price. For the same money, you could get a semi-decent zero-turn and be done in 1/4 of the time or go with a battery powered rider if you hate gas. Looks to be very well made, though. I know you said it's not for everybody ... but who?
Where is it made? Where is the battery made? How do we charge it? How much will the parts cost when it breaks down? And where are the parts made? Which country will profit from all this electric stuff? Will Justin Trudeau get a kickback from China for all this?
I'd buy a remote control lawnmower if it ran on gas.
The enabling technologies for robotic mowers are the ability to self-dock at a charging station and storing and executing GPS-enabled mowing routes. While appearing well-built, this mower isn’t that attractive given other alternatives.
Unless you have a very steep hill I see no advantage over a lawn tractor.
Nice demo but no thank you!
